And...we're seven to 10 days behind due to the time it takes for test results to come back. I live with a nurse who was positive. She had a bad head cold for about 3 days. I got tested immediately after she found out that she was positive. It took a week, but they finally called and said that I was negative.Hello dukkha,
Nice cherry-picking job in the thread title.
"New hospitalizations in Florida declined for the fourth day in a row, to 227, but the seven-day average of 350 additional hospitalizations reported each day remains the highest in the state record."
Way to search out anything remotely positive hidden in the bad news. The severity of the pandemic in Florida is shocking:
"In South Florida, Miami-Dade County's case total rose Monday by more than 3,200, to 67,713, and the county's virus-related deaths rose to 1,143."
Florida is the new epicenter of coronavirus in the nation.
hospitalizations aren't "delayed 7 day " idiotAnd...we're seven to 10 days behind due to the time it takes for test results to come back.
Just when I thought you couldn't come off as more stupid, Mr. "Covid cases explode to 61"Numbers go up, numbers come down.
Maybe Team Panic expects them to go up indefinitely lol. In any event, why should any of this be surprising? No one ever claimed opening up would preclude high COVID numbers.
The hope was—and so far it’s working, is that opening wouldn’t lead to *catastrophic* consequences. In fact, these openings were doing rather well until some people/idiots started taking to the streets by the thousands, sharing megaphones, shouting and screaming at one another, getting infected, going home infecting other people, traveling about and basically doing pretty much everything the rest of us couldn’t do since late March. Lest we kill ourselves and/or our neighbors.
And guess what starts to happen. COVID numbers start jumping up.
Who’d a thunk it. Any objective observer would look FIRST to the protests as the causative factor for the spikes but the media and the elites are telling us otherwise.
Why, you say? Because it’s an election year and all roads lead to Donald Trump. They literally think we’re idiots.
Meanwhile, Cuomo’s out plugging himself as some sort of hero even though he leads the country in death by COVID numbers—by a huge margin, and the death rate in NY was 10X the current death rate in FL. But now, NY is quiet and that can only be because of one thing.
Want to guess lol? It’s easy, just keep in mind it’s an election year. Cuomo followed Fauci’s guidelines—and because Trump, DeSanits didn’t. The media treats us like spoon fed morons because, because well, so many of us have become spoon fed morons.
Maybe, just maybe, Cuomo’s and DeBlasio’s April incompetency allowed NY to stumble and bumble it’s way to herd immunity. Makes perfect sense. Herd immunity is ‘a thing’ after all.
But Democrats and the media can’t beat Trump in the head with herd immunity.
well i see you can parrot an OP -good for you.
numbers have started coming down for the first time -get it? Hope that is a trend AS I WROTE
lol. you are soo sensitive. you don't belong on a political board. take up knitting or somethingHello dukkha,
Attempts to make the discussion about me do not end well, nuff said I hope.
If something was written to another poster it cannot be expected that I have read it.
Florida is becoming the new epicenter of COVID-19.
Attempts to place a positive spin on that do not change that.
Problems/challenges, etc are best dealt with by first recognizing their existence, then taking appropriate action.
Hoping/wishing a solution to magically appear is usually fruitless.
Sadly, Fla. had enough information after seeing what happened in NY. They chose to politicize the issue, and now they're finally 'recognizing' that there exists a problem? The 'problem', is their governor. Not unlike Texas.Hello dukkha,

nothing to do with Memorial day -that was 6 weeks ago. COVID hospitalizations are 2-4 weeks after infection.Sadly, Fla. had enough information after seeing what happened in NY. But do go and defend Cuomo the fucking idiot that mass murdered nursing home patients by his dereliction
Well...I don't see his posts unless you quote him, and I know him for more than a decade from other boards. (He was a Hillary guy in '08). If trump goes on t.v and makes claims like 'Obama and Biden just shut down testing', and Dummkopf runs here to spread stupid talking points, he's like trump on stupid pills."It's like Trump posts here"
Fixed it for you.
Yes. Democrats will lose interest in it right after they lose another election.
bars not the beaches was the point. The other point is hospitalizations dont take 6 weeks to show upEVERYTHING to do with Memorial Day. You're joking right? My wife and I went to Saint Augustine that weekend because we hadn't been in a while We turned around and left as soon as we got there. Massive crowds in the streets and in the restaurants. No masks. That same weekend, the bars on Jacksonville Beach, and the other two beaches in the area were open for the first big weekend of the summer. There were lines at every bar. No one was wearing masks. Packed in wall. to wall. My son and his buddy went there, and left because of the massive crowds. Immediately, there were large outbreaks traced to those bars. That was most likely repeated on steroids on Miami Beach. Why do you think this outbreak started with younger people? Do you know anything?? Seriously, it's like you're retarded.

I know...it's hard to view anyone that's more stupid than trump, but here it is.
You have to love the 'Cuomo killed people in nursing homes' line. Extra credit for the sheer stupidity. Likewise for the gross lack of understanding of Covid, after watching NY deal with it for months.
Memorial Day infects thousands of idiots. Over THE NEXT WEEKS, they infect people who weren't involved in the MD parties. Many bring their illness back over state lines. The problem spreads exponentially.
bars not the beaches was the point. The other point is hospitalizations dont take 6 weeks to show up
And the outbreak is still heavily Miami-Dade. yes all of Florida is up. But going to beaches is a tough way to pass COVID -bars are ideal
so what was it in Arizona- same time frame? the beaches ? ROFL. your mind is stuck on partisan noiseWho said anything about beaches? Memorial Day was the driver for the outbreak in Florida. Period, end of story.
Sailor, I bet you were as surprised to see Trump win the 2016 election as anyone else.
But you already know that all the stars in the Universe had to line up in some kind of freakish way for that to have happened.
The same stars are not even at play this time around, like Russia, Facebook, Twitter, and Wikileaks. And now the Republican Senators are distancing themselves from Trump this time around, and most of the governors are having to do the same thing, if they have even the slightest chance of winning re-election themselves- So they are not out there campaigning for him either this time around.
So the truth is, last time around, Trump barely won by the seat of his pants in just 3 key states in very close numbers, that are now showing Biden up 10 points over Trump in all three of those same battleground states.
Even the 3 Red states that are normally shoe-ins for the Republicans of South Carolina, Texas, and Arizona are so close to call, that even the Republican senators in those states look compromised by their ties to Trump.
So I realize you would like to see the miracle win happen all again and all, but, this time the stars are all lining up for the Democrats to win the presidency and the Senate.
DIDN'T MEAN TO POP YOUR BUBBLE!
But we already know the shock you will feel on November 3rd! BEEN THERE DONE THAT!
so what was it in Arizona- same time frame? the beaches ? ROFL. your mind is stuck on partisan noise
Agree. We're seeing the same in Texas/Arizona. Remember the threads here about how safe it is to open beaches? They ignored the fact that the parties go from the beaches, to bars/restaurants/homes, etc..He's the last of the trolls I haven't ignored. I'm not sure why, but I feel like they need a representative besides Darth, who is a whole different animal. This discussion is beyond absurd. Florida opened their bars. Young people flocked to the bars. Young people got infected. There was a situation here at an Irish pub on Jax Beach. A party of 18 young people went there for a birthday party. Within a week ALL of them had tested positive. Every single one of them. There were probably four or five hundred people in and out of that bar that night. And that's one bar. There are probably two dozen that were packed to the rafters that weekend. That's one beach in one Florida city. Imagine the parties in Miami. What has happened was completely predictable. I knew it was going to happen, how is it that the Governor of Florida was that clueless? The answer is: He wasn't. He just cared more about kissing up to Trump than protecting the citizens of his state. In my opinion, that's criminal. Attempting to tie the outbreaks in red states to the protests defies logic. We should have had outbreaks in every city that had protests. I'm pretty sure the protests in Miami were very muted. The Cuban population doesn't much care for BLM. It is probably the largest city in the country with a Republican mayor. So the suggesting that this has anything to do with the protests is moronic.
OK so Memorial day opening the beaches is not a factorOkay, so you literally can't read. I said nothing about the beaches. My God, you are stupid. It's amazing. IT WAS THE BARS dimwit.
