I know you rightys have spent zero time actually following AOC. If you did, you would see that in congressional hearings she does her homework and asks very intelligent questions revealing what the speakers are trying to hide. She is far from stupid. That is an indication of how seriously she takes her job. She can be quite impressive.

Well words matter so, yeah. Appointed would be from some authority that is not elected. Chosen seems a bit 'religious'. Elected is what democracy does. It's messy not everyone agrees but that's the whole point of our democratic system to hash out and come to a common consensus conclusion. Something it seems too many have forgotten. Sadly. Unlike you red vulpine viewers, I actually watch house and senate hearings listening to the questions and answers. I read all the right-wing bleating about AOC being stupid. I heard her interviewed a few times and she certainly disproved it in them. I see her as just below Warren and Franken is eliciting informative responses in house panels. She is doing a good job.
