Fox News’ Ex-Host Ed Henry Accused of Rape, Hannity and Tucker Carlson of Sexual Harassment in Lawsuit


Fox News and some of its top on-camera stars face new accusations of misconduct in a lawsuit filed Monday by two women. One woman accused Ed Henry, a host who was fired by Fox News earlier this month, of sexual assault as well as harassment — while a second woman who frequently appeared as an on-air contributor accused Henry, Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Howard Kurtz and others of sexual harassment by dangling the prospect of a full-time job in exchange for suggested sexual favors.

The suit — filed on behalf of Jennifer Eckhart and Cathy Areu in U.S. District Court — also said that Fox News executives were aware of sexual misconduct accusations against Ed Henry in 2017, three years before firing him, and that the network tried to “take credit” for doing the right thing with its July 1 announcement of his termination.

They're the sort that will let the paper get smacked for say a million in a lawsuit and not care. The same type populates say, the Southern Poverty Law Center. In the late 1800s that might actually work but not in 2020. The reality is that the NYT is owned by the New York Times Company, publicly traded mass media company. Too much money involved for investors to let LW radicals take over and run it into the ground.

Several Times staffers pushed back, noting that the paper was not “doxxing” Alexander, as that term is widely used to describe situations where the goal of revealing a person’s identity is specifically to encourage harassment.

The dust-up is just the latest in a series of internal tensions that have roiled the Times in recent weeks. Many editorial staffers openly revolted earlier this month after the paper’s opinion page published a column from Republican Sen. Tom Cotton calling for President Donald Trump to “send in the troops” in response to nationwide protests against police brutality. Dozens of employees openly admonished the paper on social media, saying the op-ed put Black Times staffers in danger. That internal uprising led to a town hall in which the paper’s executives took turns apologizing to irate staffers for running the senator’s column; and it resulted in the ouster of opinions editor James Bennet, who admitted to having not reviewed the piece before its publication.

Dean Baquet the executive editor of the NYT is moving the paper to be nothing but a propaganda rag for Social and Economic Justice. Even the usually pro-Leftist magazine Salon says he's turned the paper into little more than an American version of Pravda

It worked and usually worked quite well up until the Electronics Revolution begat the Internet. That changed everything. In even the 70's or 80's pre-Internet, something like doxxing someone would take weeks or even months, possibly years, to unravel and correct. The Internet changed that. Look at the Bush memos that Dan Rather put on the evening news. In less than 72 hours they were declared fakes. The originator of them was known. Rather retired in disgrace. People at CBS lost their jobs.

The Left generally aren't the ones that are highly computer literate and haven't fully grasped what total rat bastards computer networks are. The NYT right now has gone hard Left and it is going to either destroy the paper or it will be the undoing of most of the staff working there. My bet is that people will divest themselves of stock in the paper and let it go down the tubes. The Left will wonder what the hell went wrong as they always do because they can't grasp their ideas just are not that popular.
Look at The Nation magazine. It has never had wide distribution because it is unabashedly on the hard Left. The management doesn't care because that's where they positioned themselves and they know it. The NYT is supposedly far more mainstream. Not anymore.
