So you don't understand what happened then and do not know it really is not different this time. Peaceful? How peaceful were the authorities when the marchers crossed the Pettis bridge. They cracked heads, beat people up, and disappeared a few. There was non violence, but it was on one side.
That is what it is now. The people are marching into tear gas and Rubber Bullets. They are almost all peaceful. The HHS soldiers are violent and abusive. They are beating women and children.
It is the authorities that are taking away rights. It is their soldiers ignoring the law.
Back in the 60s, the claims were the same. The powers claimed it was the protesters causing all the trouble. That never changes. But it also is not true.

You got the first part right that Civil rights marchers were non-violent -but today's ANTIFA and BLM in Portland ( Obama specifically said Portland)
are not peaceful marchers

Lasers pointed at police eyes

This has already been debunked.

I was never a big fan of Obama, since he had that awful drone program. But one thing I admired about him is that he tried to be the president of everyone, not just his base.
