I mean if even ONE illegal immigrant votes illegally in this country than citizens are disenfranchised

The ability to vote by mail, and the ability to vote with just a signature authorization are not new concepts. They have been used by many states for years.
The systems work, so why fight them? Its not like we are attempting to use something brand new that has never been tested, or used before.

If thousands of legal residents are denied their right to vote just to keep a relative handful of non-legal residents from POSSIBLY voting, which do you think is the greater case of disenfranchisement?

Besides, the whole "illegal immigrant voting problem" is a false, bullshit right-wing narrative that isn't a real problem to begin with.

With COVID 19 there is no safe in person voting. Its a recipe for disease and disaster. People waited in long lines for hours to vote in the last primary. It will be worse for the general.
We need a much longer period of early voting, and instead of Election Day, how about election week, which will spread voting over a much longer period of time.

What's really funny about the right's entire stupid argument, is that you fuckers are the ones who claim all blacks look alike as do all Mexicans.

Yet you want everyone to have to present an ID with a small, blurry, low-resolution photo that anyone who looks vaguely similar to could produce and misrepresent themselves as the person in the picture. A person who might be dead for all anyone knows.

And that doesn't even take into account forged ID's that can easily be made with modern high-res printers.

Everyone knows poll workers barely glance at the picture on an ID when presented, and they mainly concentrate on comparing the signature.

Besides, the very idea that large numbers of no-eligible people are lining up at the polls to vote is absurd.

It's all a bullshit ploy designed to throw up a barrier and impediment for people who tend to vote Democrat.

You do not know what poll workers look at. However the voter ID card has to match with the name and address in the voter rolls. They showed ID when they registered.You write your name down and it is checked. If the poll worker thinks the signature is wrong or perhaps you wrote down the initial instead of the whole middle name, you can ask for a correction ballot and it is provided. You have a voter id card and your name has to be in the precinct roll book to allow you to vote.

Millions of Americans are terrified by Corona and would not vote. The repubs love that. The rule is the smaller the vote, the better chance the Repub/Putin party has. Trump's tirades against mail-in are simply more suppression. He wants a small vote, so the lies about mail-in are ridiculous . Trump wants mail-in stopped. We already have 25 percent mail-in. It works and is fair. Only 4 examples of mail-in fraud occurred last election That is .0004 percent.
