Somebody explain Sweden

Because they didn't shelter in place immediately Sweden has suffered one of the worst death rates in the world

As for the OP, it's clear you would like us to draw some agenda-driven conclusion, instead of whatever the reality is. What would you like to hear? That they muscled through it and achieved herd immunity? That they see it 'only as the flu' and that helps somehow?

Herd immunity is likely at least one factor that explains Sweden.

I realize there’s no Bad Orange Man angle in herd immunity but the better we understand this thing the better off we are. Herd immunity also explains why NYC is relatively quiet. If that subtracts from Cuomo, why should that matter? This isn’t a political game—it’s a matter of gaining knowledge so we can better understand things.

And the better we understand things the sooner we can adapt our policy accordingly.
