Beirut Explosion

Deutsche Welle is reporting that what passes for a government there is detaining dock workers:

It's actually a very sophisticated and balanced government. Its power-sharing system is quite remarkable. The cause of its woes is foreign pressure because it refuses to roll over for the neoZionist aggressors. Same as in Iran. Same as in Syria. Same as in Iraq. Same as in Libya. Same as in Yemen.

Blow it out your ass.....governments rarely fail worse than this one did here.

Do they not grow things in Lebanon? Surely this fertilizer had value when it was off loaded, and this dock is very corrupt, surely there was money to be made by selling it. So why did that never happen? That is the interesting question here....why did corrupt people in a very broken down country leave money on the table?

Probably kept there by Hezbollah for the next war!

Sure, Hezbollah has a gardening brigade.

Haw, haw........................haw.

Lebanon gets its sophisticated modern explosives from Iran, Comrade maggot- you keep saying so yourself.

Horseshit. All governments that do not comply with Washington Zionists' diktats are pushed, dumbass. Fortunately, some are more powerful and smarter than Washington.

That's Zionism, folks.

We need to discover who/what started the firework store fire that spread to the warehouse. Izrael is not off the hook.

Who's directly responsible for it, either intentionally or just negligent? You decide.

"Investigators probing the devastating blast in Beirut that killed at least 135 people and injured 5,000 more are pointing to a Russian ship docked in the city's port for nearly seven years without appropriate security precautions that officials warned was “a floating bomb.”"

They let the stuff sit for 6 years without taking it out and and removing the wet hot spots.
It's negligence.

Even when stored right I dont know that this stuff has a seven year shelf life....this was extreme negligence...the complete failure of government to perform.

The Lebanese government should have just distributed the ammonium nitrate to farms and spread it on the ground as fertilizer. Problem solved and the crops do better.

The speculations before the facts on this thread were pure comedy. But in the end, it was pure Government incompetence. Yet the loony lefties here demand we all have more of it. :palm:

The port authority asked the government to remove the explosives many times. It was in writing too. They even said an accident would obliterate the area. Once it blew, they blamed the port authority.
