"Trump claims Biden is 'against God' and will 'hurt the Bible"

I feel bad for you as I have nothing against Catholics whatsoever as many are very fine people. I just never understood why the church makes such a point of doing things that the Bible makes a point in saying......." whatever you do, dont do this!" I just think its is mostly a problem of not reading the word enuff and putting way too much faith into what men say instead of what scripture says.

Did you support the invasion of Iraq?

..." And call NO MAN your father upon the Earth: for one is your father, which is in Heaven"....

I'm a Catholic and a Christian. You are neither if you believe that.

It's a very common belief in the dusty cinderblock sheds where fundies gather to praise each other and offer back-slaps on how clever, wise, and good they are. LDS members are not Xtians either, according to them, and most mainstream Xtian sects are suspect.

Seriously?

I was 100% against it. But I didn't know one conservative who agreed w/ me. Come to think of it, I don't think I know one conservative who didn't call me a traitor for being against it.

Good on you (if you're truthin', that is).

Biden is a Catholic. NOT a christian. Huge difference.
Catholics, Methodists, Baptists, Lutherans, non-denominational Protestants are all Christians.

Catholics have been practicing Christianity about one thousand years longer than the Protestant fundamentalist denominations found widely in the southern United States

1..... Dusty cinderblock sheds? GET REAL

2... Did Jesus preach to the people in a massive building that had a cost of millions of dollars while the poor suffered? NO,...that would be mans foolishness. Yet he was the King of Kings.

I was a big Ron Paul supporter. In fact in 08 I didnt vote McCain,...nor would I ever vote Obama...LOL, I wrote in Ron Paul.

Fuck off, and do have a lovely afternoon.

This message is hidden because Stone is on your ignore list.

Is this an example of the True church, you know, the one that cost millions of dollars with the guy in the little black suit who people call Father, which is directly against the Bible?

I don't feel bad for people who say Catholics aren't Christian, just annoyed. A Christian is a follower of Christ; Catholics are followers of Christ; therefore, Catholics are Christian. It's not that hard.

A lot of conservatives are belatedly claiming they opposed the invasion of Iraq, rather than confessing they were wrong to support it.

In 2003 on message boards, there were very close to zero conservatives who opposed invading Iraq

I always wonder what they're afraid of.

...." But when ye pray, use not vein REPETITIONS, as THE HEATHEN DO: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking".....

I always wonder what they're afraid of.

Those other sects have lots of members and lots of money. So they fear that. Plus their whole schtick consists of congratulating each other on how much closer to God they are than everyone else. Sure to get into heaven while all those heathen imposters, Muslims, Jews (who they only like if they're in Israel not here), Hindus, Buddhists, mainstream Xtians, atheists, and Scientologists are roasting in Hellfire. Well, I do kinda agree with them about that last category.

Are you talking about megachurches like these? Do you believe in the prosperity Gospel?

I hear ya, Scientology is in a class of its own. :)

Forgot to add: when I was going to Bible study with fundamentalists one of their beliefs was that only 666,000 people would ever be saved. Maybe this wasn't a widespread belief among all of them, but many in that small group took it literally.

"President Trump on Thursday claimed presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, a practicing Catholic, is "against God" as he levied a stream of attacks on his likely opponent in the November election."

"Biden has spoken of his faith a number of times, crediting it with helping him through personal tragedies, such as the deaths of his wife and children, most recently his son Beau Biden. His campaign website outlines a plan for "Safeguarding America's faith-based communities," which includes promises to crack down on hate crimes and increase grants for religious communities"

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/510900-trump-claims-biden-is-against-god

Trump has been to church less than fourteen times in four years, in which only eight were for church services (https://www.nationalmemo.com/how-often-does-trump-actually-attend-church-not), and as we know, he doesn't even know which way to hold the Bible upright, and now he is commenting on another's religious behavior?

Right seems to be getting more desperate by the day

Biden can "speak" of his faith all damned day snowflake, that doesn't make it truthful. So tell me, how does a Catholic rationalize his support of on demand abortion? Care to discuss that?

Biden caves to media pressure, changes abortion stance
