Man Shot by Police in Kenosha Was Wanted for Sexual Assault "Fleeing felon rule"

[h=1]White People With Guns NOT Killed By Cops (VIDEOS)[/h]

An aside... The Young Turks is as bad as quoting Breitbart, maybe worse.

But that aside as I said, the clip starts with over two minutes of unsupported anecdote. Anecdote is not evidence. Then the narrator makes shit up. In the first video the police talked the guy into putting the gun down. The narrator then makes non-specific claims to incidents he provides no evidence for claiming a false equivalence with unequal outcomes. Why no evidence to corroborate his claims? Most likely because he's making shit up.
He never gives one statistic to back his claims. At 6:35 he lies or shows his ignorance of how police are trained to shoot a suspect when they do. It is center mass (in the chest) to stop the action, using three round bursts. There is no "shoot to kill" involved. Center mass is because you are the least likely to miss doing that. multiple shots ensures a hit in an uncertain aiming and firing situation. Stop the action is what you want-- the suspect is no longer a threat.
The video at 7 minutes is likewise misrepresented and no contrary evidence is provided other than the narrator making unsubstantiated claims.

Basically that was 13 minutes of personal opinion backed by little to nothing. It is worthless as a rational, cognitive, argument.

The POS had a warrant for sexual assault RAPE and obviously wasn't going quietly.

Do they let him reach into the car to grab a gun or let him get behind the wheel of a 4,000 lb weapon and speed away with kids in the car?
You're being a piece of shit

You two go well together like peanut butter and jelly, alcohol and bad decisions, or strippers and glitter. You two should get a room, braid each other's hair and share your dreams.

Actually volsrock is correct. The police had this guy under arrest. They were obviously going to cuff him up and take him away. He decided to flee. They shot him because the charges against him made him a violent and clear threat to the public. Escaping from arrest also means that so long as the officers have maintained clear contact with the felon, they can shoot that person without warning.
In this case, they tried repeatedly to verbally stop him even at gunpoint before it became clear he intended to flee the scene. So they shot the moron like they were trained to do-- center mass (in the chest), three round bursts, stop the action. The officer did exactly as he was trained to do in that situation. The idiot that got shot brought that totally and completely on himself.

Did you see the video of this incidence??????????????????

Did you see the video of this incidence??????????????????

Yes. I watched several versions. Now that I know what the man was stopped for and had violent felony warrants outstanding, I can see the police acted appropriately. You may not like it, but they did their jobs as they were supposed to do. That guy was not leaving the scene, telling the police to F off. They were going to take him into custody and he wasn't leaving. He was an idiot to try and leave. The police shot him for it just as they were supposed to do.
It appears they were not equipped with tasers. That would have been an alternative that might have saved this guy from being shot.... Maybe the defunding of the police there made tasers a luxury they couldn't afford...

Isn't deadly force suppose to be used as a last resort???? I saw the video of this incidence on ABC news, and the video clearly showed that there were nonlethal options that the police could have used., for one thing there were two officers for one guy.

That's exactly what they did. They drew on him. They gave him verbal orders which he ignored. He then tried to flee from the police. They shot him as a result. He was an idiot, violent, felon, and that's why he got shot. Two or more officers is normal in apprehending a violent felon. The police want to use more passive force like that to try and ensure the situation doesn't escalate like it unfortunately did here.

Step 3: Can't address the actual VIDEO

Dude, you should watch the video first. I'm sure the courts will do so if this goes to trial after the state investigates.

Fake news Narrative already starting to crack and crumble as the truth slowly comes out. Just as it always seems to do.......

Yep. Just as I described. He was an idiot for fleeing from police custody.

So you think the use of deadly force was required exactly at that point and no later, correct?

Why to you think the second cop didn't have his gun out until the shooting started? In fact, he seemed a little confused since he actually moved around and behind the first officer. A rookie move if he put the first officer between himself and suspect. Better to have moved left and had covered the left front corner with the first officer to his right and the suspect to his front.

Fleeing felon rule

At common law, the fleeing felon rule permits the use of force, including deadly force, against an individual who is suspected of a felony and is in clear flight.[1]
