Trump wants better relations with China as well (or did pre-COVID) but he doesn't want it at the expense of the USA
He wanted China to be part of a new INF treaty -China declined
He wants trade with China - but not thru the corrupt WTO

The US/China trade deal wasn't about "putting Trump first" US Trade Rep Lighthizer wasn't some mindless Trump minion

Any POTUS running for re-election is "consumed" come Sept of the vote year
( and really no POTUS ever stops campiging for re-election from day 1)

you completely ignore the Wu-flu when it comes to the still birth of the trade deal

“It’s not worth it,” he said. “One’s as bad as the other.”

Priscella Gazda, a waitress at a pizza restaurant in Kenosha, was having the opposite reaction. She said she had voted only once in her life — for Mr. Obama in 2008. Her son has Type 1 diabetes and was hoping for health insurance.

“I’m not the one who would ever vote,” she said.

But after the chaos in her town, this year is different.

“I am going to vote for Trump,” she said. “He seems to be more about the American people and what we need.”
