47% of Americans think Trump will refuse to concede if he loses election

Only temporarily. OMB said it was illegal to withhold the money. Canceling an election is a much bigger deal. Plus, elections are conducted by the states which the president has no authority to control. He even conceded he had no power to open up state economies which he originally claimed he had power to do.

I have no faith in the president. He openly has contempt for US law. He advised voters in North Carolina to commit a felony by voting more than once.

Flash, you are literally describing an act of extortion that Trump got away with, thus proving my point.

Do you realize you even did that, or are you just so upset by me that you have to make my points for me?

If the act of extortion was successful then why would he continue to withhold the funds as you claimed he would? It is silly to say he would have continued to withhold funds unless the whistleblower came forward since he got what he wanted.

The extortion issue did not get the necessary 2/3 Senate vote for conviction.

Your points changed. First you said he would have continued to withhold the money if the whistleblower had not come forward. Now you say it was extortion. If it was extortion then he had no reason to hold the funds.

It makes my point. And this is not about you--get over yourself.

They can't vote more than once unless NC has a major flaw in their mail-in ballot system. I don't trust or believe him, either. That is why I pay little attention to such statements.

Amazing how corrupt you are.

Funny the first thing you thought about was corruption--something I did not mention or even think about. I said flaws. However, NC just had an election for a House seat overturned due to mail-ballot fraud. I guess there must be a flaw someplace.

Trump advocated committing a felony. Not even able to respect your defense of this.

You are making wild unwarranted assumptions. Nowhere did I defend Trump. I don't think many Americans are going to try to vote twice no matter what the president said.

It is not illegal to "advocate" doing anything. I would say he was probably kidding but he said he didn't kid after saying we should slow down covid testing. Let's stick to real issues.

The President advocating committing a felony would get him removed from office in ordinary times.

Trump could face lots of prosecutions if he lost. He knows that. So the Whitehouse is his haven. He will not leave easily. No matter how badly he loses, he will claim it was stolen. He made up 5 million votes in California last election and he won. He has no bottom.

Three in four supporters of Democratic challenger Joe Biden are worried about the prospect of Donald Trump rejecting the US presidential election result if it goes against him, an Opinium Research poll for the Guardian shows.

The survey underlined fears that the president will not accept the outcome of November’s race, triggering a constitutional crisis. Last week two congressional Democrats wrote to the Pentagon seeking assurance that the military would ensure an orderly transfer of power.

Nearly half of all Americans (47%) say they are worried about the possibility of Trump losing the election but refusing to concede defeat, Opinium found. Among Biden voters, that figure climbs to 75%, whereas for Trump voters it stands at 30%.

I guess that means the other 53% are going to vote for him. And the Guardian is the UK's NYT, no credibility with anything political.

Now I know what a circle jerk is ---the thread.

Someone is doing the frauding

I do not think you are correct. I think it is criminal for a public official to advocate committing crimes.

It is free speech. A person can advocate anything. He just cannot take any action toward committing that act according to the Supreme Court. A public official has the same free speech as anyone else. A person has no right to commit a crime just because an official tells him to.

Nothing to do with free anything. Any public official charged with executing the law should not be telling people to break the law.

Trump likely committed a felony and encouraged others to do it too. But he controls the justice department and knows he can do whatever he wants.
