What's interesting about Trump's base is that it's surprisingly diverse. The people you're referring to are super black-pilled Doomers. Because they've given up, they don't really care what happens, so they just support Trump because he's entertaining. But then we also have the Accelerationists who support Trump because he's destroying the country. Then there's the Alt-Right who only support him because they still think he's going to build the wall. There's the Fascists, who like that he's against Democracy. There's the Conservatards, who actually believe everything he says. And there's the NPC Republicans who just support him because he's a Republican.
The trick of course is telling the difference between stupid and lying.
