Agreed. Trump considers them all losers for signing up when they could have faked a bone disease to dodge the draft.

'Anyone else notice that there are now four individuals with first-hand knowledge who are ON THE RECORD denying The Atlantic story? This matches the publications four anonymous sources. Will The Atlantic stand by their false anonymous reporting or listen to those who were there?'

I got the impression the noted historian Donald Trumpf thinks World War 1 was a waste of time, and anyone who fought in it is therefore a loser and a sucker.

Nothing Trump says surprises me anymore. As noted by the very high number of "the best people" who have rotated out of the WH in the past 4 years, Trump is not a well person.

Also note that Trump's retorts to comments made or leaked about these "best people" is the same: they were not good at their jobs and are sore losers for being fired. Obviously if any of that were true then Trump is the world's biggest fuck up when it comes to hiring "the best people".

If what you said were true, then you'd quote where Bolton "denies the story". Funny how everything in Bolton's book isn't true except for his comment about why the cemetery visit was cancelled.

The trip was scheduled by helicopter - in advance -the weather made it impossible

The report I heard said Trump didn't want to make the long car trip.

Honoring American war dead was just not worth the effort to him.

Besides, they're just (according to Trump) a buncha "losers and suckers" anyway.

It is pretty obvious at this point that Trump's chief of staff, lifelong Republican and Marine Corps General Kelly is one of the sources.

I cannot think of a credible reason lifelong Republican Marine Corps General Kelly would fabricate this story out of whole clothe.

And even though Trump's NSA Bolton may not have been present or heard it, Bolton says it sounds like something the sleazebag Trump would say.

That's the Trump version of the story. Notice the phrasing "without prior pre-planning". Why wasn't the pre-planning done? Does Russia really have such a low regard for US weather forecasting abilities, comrade anatta? For US contingency planning skills?

The fact remains, as with other Presidential trips that time of year....not to mention the actual D-Day landings, the weather is often shitty and having a Plan B is SOP.....unless the President says something like "fuck them, they're losers. I'm not going to ride in a limo for six hours for losers."
