What I don't understand is why some black people like BAC are crowing about the "browning" of America when it refers to an increase in Hispanics, not blacks.

The really, really good news is that you don’t have to understand. I couldn’t care less about what you don’t understand and regardless of your inability to understand what is right in front of your face, the evolution of this nation is inevitable without you.

Hispanics and African Americans don’t have many like political goals and aspirations? Perhaps your inability to understand is due to a lack of capacity to discern obvious things. Start from they are not republicans and they don’t support white supremacy and affiliated hate groups. In other words, they aren’t you.

My young daughter is a great example. She's white and she has cousins on one side of the family who are (mixed) black and cousins on the other side of the family who are (mixed) Mexican. America will continue to be more ethnically diverse.

And we can look at California where I believe Hispanics are the largest ethnic group and white people don't make up a majority. Politically Democrats control every elected statewide office and have a super majority in Congress. Yet it's hardly a panacea for minorities. Homes in the 'hood' often cost well over half a million. We have the highest poverty rate and black people who used to have a strong presence in coastal cities such as L.A. and Oakland are leaving for the interior of the state or just leaving the state period originally because of crime and now because of high costs.

The S.F. Chronicle had an editorial this weekend about this most recent legislative session and how little they accomplished including not getting police reform done. This is without needing any Republican votes.

Political parties constantly change (even recently the Republicans from the Party of Reagan to the Party of Trump and Democrats for whom Bill Clinton would not get elected today running the campaign he did) and that isn't going to stop now.

Huh? Sports, particularly at the professional level are about the 1% of the best athletes in a field participating in organized sports they are good at. Teams don't look at race but rather ability so race is (or should be) irrelevant.

Diversity and inclusion make sports stronger and better even at the professional level and even among the 1%. You can ignore that inclusive sports make athletes better people, more capable of interactions with cultures of diverse people, those interactions also make the sport better. There was a time in our not too distant past that non-white people were not allowed to participate in major sports. During those dull and unexciting times. blacks weren't allowed to play basketball and we were told that we weren't cerebral enough to play the quarterback position in football. Of course this was all racist bullshit rooted in the fear of male inadequacies. Those doors never opened out of a sense of fairness .. they had to be kicked open. But once kicked open, AMERICAN SPORTS WERE CHANGED FOREVER. Today the highest paid athlete in football, if not American sports overall is a young black quarterback who just won the Super bowl and has a half billion dollar contract. The game is much faster and far, far better than the days when it was exclusive to white guys. The game changed and quarterbacks can do things they never could.

We couldn't play basketball? How stupid is that? Today's inclusive leagues are light years better as are the players. Everybody got better, everybody got stronger and better paid. There was some guy who proposed an all-white professional basketball league. It lasted about 20 minutes. Who would want to watch that bullshit?

Take gymnastics. Simone Biles is re-inventing the sport. All will have to keep up with and emulate her. She makes the sport better.

How about baseball? Hispanics have kicked that door open and they practically dominate the sport today.
