So the county that Miami is in is run by a Republican. But you asked for a city, which is different than a county, so maybe you are right.... Nope, Miami's mayor is Suarez, another Republican. But maybe there is a Republican Governor of Florida... No, again DeSantis, another Republican.
So lets go through the four levels of government again, and see if we can find a Democrat.
City government: Suarez(Republican)
County government: Gimenez(Republican)
State government: DeSantis(Republican)
Federal government: trump(Republican)
Before Suarez(Republican) was Regalado(Republican), so it has been under Republican control since 2009(11 years now).

It's funny to think back on the Kaep situation now. All the right did was make it some false claim about "disrespecting the military" and "I'm never watching the NFL again!"
Now, w/ everything that has happened since June, it's all "oh, we'll always support the PEACEFUL protests." Just like quietly kneeling during an anthem.

Resisting arrest is THE underlying issue. It’s the common denominator in nearly all fatal cop encounters.
This is why dialogue is pointless: the endpoint is predetermined. It always end up as a racial issue when it’s not.
