Biden leads Trump in new national Fox poll

But it's tightening as expected, anyone who watched everything unfold in 2016 knows better than to assume a Biden victory here. If he wants to win this thing he can't take a single swing state for granted.

Agree. But this election is nothing like 2016. First, Hillary was not popular among Democrats. Second, we know Trump is a criminal and was impeached.

Agreed on both points. For me it was a hold my breath and vote for Hillary moment, at least this time around Biden's putting up a good fight and punching back as hard or harder on Trump. I'm hopeful but don't want to take the foot off the gas.
 
The dynamics on election day are very different this year. By & large, Trump supporters think COVID is a hoax, and Democrats tend to take it seriously.

Ergo, Trump voters probably won't have as much of an issue heading over to where they vote & standing in line & going into a small booth that's been used repeatedly by many people. He'll have better turnout.

Better turnout at polls, maybe. Democrats are voting absentee ballot.

I know that's true- but people are born procrastinators. The "get out the vote" efforts on election day are a big deal in most elections - ringing on doorbells, getting rides for people. People have to really think ahead to vote by mail, and we just don't know how that will compare.

Don't agree. I already requested my mail in ballot.

Our local news reported last week that both local election authorities and the Secretary of State tallied massive voter turn-out for the primary in early August. They say requests for mail-in ballots is at record levels.

My state has officially been discouraging people from going in person to vote and to request a mail in ballot.

The Trumpanzees and the Russians are pulling out all the stops to get their Mango Messiah re-selected. I imagine we're going to see heavily-armed "militia" ppl lurking around polling places -- esp. those in (D) and/or non-white areas.

So far Biden is doing a great job campaigning. His ads that are shown here are well-done and mostly very positive. That's what ppl are hoping for -- we are all sick of the gloom and doom.
