Selling accelerated during the final hours of trading this Monday as the coronavirus task force updated the nation on the crisis. In response to a question, President Trump said the crisis could extend until August.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 2,997 points or nearly 13 percent. The worst point drop on record and worst turn since the 1987 financial crisis.
The markets also ignored an emergency rate cut the prior Sunday in which the Fed cut rates to near zero.

Biden won, or maybe trump lost is a better way to put it. Either way, it means one more opportunity for trump to turn around his defeat is lost. There are not many more opportunities, and certainly not better opportunities.

Why? You and I both know over 90% of them have "3 million votes" in them somewhere. None that I've seen have suggested a rigged election. All whined about the Electoral College.

I think the level of the Fatman's performance is well matched to the intelligence and historical sense of his supporters
But for the record, I have always been against the archaic electoral college and have always viewed it as thwarting the will of the people, regardless of political party.
In the weeks running up to the 2000 election, there were indications Gore was going to win the EC while losing the popular vote. I was not happy about that, considered it unfair, and I would have supported a constitutional amendment at any time to eliminate the EC
The Founders disagree. Populism is the reason we have Trump. Your solution will only ensure Populists win every Presidential election instead of a fluke because the opposing candidate was more deplorable.
