Ocean water is alkaline. You cannot acidify an alkaline. Carbon dioxide does not acidify anything. It simply dissolves in water. Think soda pop or beer. Rain is naturally slightly acidic. As creeks and rivers run to the sea, the water becomes alkaline. This is normal.

Ocean water eats garbage. Bacteria and other critters live in that water. UV breaks down all plastics and bacteria consume it. Paper dissolves. Metals sink and corrode to the salts they came from. I don't think you have any idea just how big the oceans are.

Someone asked the question in this thread- IF GREEN ENERGY IS SO GOOD, WHY DOES IT COST SO MUCH!

OK, here is a Green New Deal for you- Something as simple as a light bulb. Light Bulbs, as everything does now days, became a political argument- OF ALL FUCKING THINGS! We argued about LED light bulbs for over a decade, before they became the defacto standard for Home Lighting because of attrition and eventual common sense- NOT POLITICS. Politics basically got in the way of the improvement for over a decade. I'll never forget how Republicans made the argument- IF I WANT TO USE NOTHING BUT INCANDESCENT LIGHT BULBS IN MY HOME, I HAVE A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO DO SO.

I remember when My MOM used to decorate her house with Christmas Lights every year. She would light up the entire town with strings of old incandescent Chistmas lights to a point that you could watch her Electric meter look like a speedometer of a car going 100 miles per hour.Her December and January electric bills were 1,000% over all the other 10 months.

I started buying her strings of the newer LED outdoor Christmas lights, and convinced her this was the way to go, and the initial investment cost me about $150 bucks. But her electric bill only showed a 10% increase in those same 2 holiday months. So they paid for themselves the very first year in energy savings.

After that we replaced every Light Bulb in our homes to LED bulbs and noticed that we brought our electric bills down by about 1/3rd!

So all I can say is yes, Greener Energies does take you to greener pastures when it comes to innovation, keeping up with technology, AND STRAYING AWAY FROM POLITICS.

Never let your politics prevent you from improving the quality of your lives.

No government created the LED. Laws banning incandescent lights is fascism. It is picking and choosing what a business may manufacture by arbitrary decision by a government.
