Some countries have beaten Corona down. They used masks and distancing. Some used lockdowns. They all work.

except for the morbidity rate.......that is not increasing in waves.......in fact, deaths per million is flat since July......

Did they have therapeutics and vaccines in advanced stages of development in 1918? If lockdowns work, why are we(and evidently Europe)having a 2nd wave? There were "experts" out there saying that 2 million Americans could die from this. That would drop the U.S. population down to about 325 million! How would we recover from that!! This chinese plague is going to have angry sex with us until it gets it's fill, or until we can wipe it out via the medical and scientific community. Trump's performance in this crisis has been stellar in my opinion. He has limited his involvement to logistics, which he excels at, and you can bet jackass joe(on the off chance he cheats enough to get elected)isn't gonna change ANYTHING that Trump has done except to take the credit for it.

  • Remember ventilators, flatten the curve, the next two weeks are crucial, etc.?
  • Remember Nancy Pelosi and Bill de Blasio in Chinatown back in February, urging everyone to visit?
  • Remember Fauci dismissing masks as useless back in April?

Why should we believe anything the "experts" tell us now?

Point of Order: So far this pandemic has resulted in the same number of deaths as the 1957 pandemic, when the population was 40% of what it is now.

They did not panic and slit their own throats as we have.

Exactly. It's just another panic over cases.
Plus it seems that all the masks don't work too well. Not much of a state of emergency if they are also allowing
all those who are employed to go to work. All they are saying is to social distance. Ah those crazy gas-lighting Spaniards.

Large segments of the country did not close down, a quite a few others went about it half ass, plus, things moving inside with colder weather is going to spread the virus

The 2 million number Trump pedals is taken totally out of context, and no one has thrown numbers like that since last January

And if Trump’s performance has been “stellar” why hasn’t the virus “just disappeared,” why hasn’t wasn’t it “over by Easter,” “gone by June,“ and “turning the corner now” when yesterday we recorded the highest daily infections ever”
