That was obeying it. The consent was not there.

The reality is, during election years when somebody dies on the SCOTUS every President offers up a choice, if their party holds the Senate they get in almost every time, if their party does not hold the Senate they do not. It's precedent, it is traditional, and it is exactly what the Senate does. Advise and consent.

Consent simply wasn't there.
 
As I write this, it's 10:40 P. M. Tuesday evening. (Pacific time,) Trump lost Arizona. Not good, but maybe not fatal. It ain't over till it's over.

I've shared that tweet 9 ways to Sunday to thousands of people by now.

Trump 293 will be the final tally, and he wins the popular vote.

"Consent" would have been there if a hearing had been held, and a vote taken, as the Constitution requires. Doesn't mean shit to me what the tradition is according to liars. Obama put the name up, and the Repugnant traitors ignored it. Then came the death of RBG, and see how the bastards ran the course.

The constitution requires advise and consent, not "vote uselessly regardless of logic"... The Consent was not there, you know that the vote would not have gone that way, the Rs controlled the Senate.

What happened was normal, was within the power of the Senate, has happened before, and was exactly what the constitution says. Their advice was for him to choose somebody else, their consent was non-existent.

I used to think the American people were quite intelligent, now I see that a majority are nothing but low IQ pieces of trash. Guess they want another recession.

Then too, I don't think you are right.
 
And yes, BTW, I would be saying this if it were the opposite and Merrick got in because the Senate was controlled by Ds... or if it were an R and a D senate that didn't vote... same result.

I am consistent.
