Why I Think Latinos Will Break For Biden

Latinos are not monolithic Cuban Americans Puerto Rican Americans Mexican Americans all voted differently. From what the talking heads are saying Biden campaign poached it in Miami-Dade.

Who hacked katzgar’s account?!

Hello cawacko,

You want to see an epic meltdown. This woman is the head of the 1619 project.

Sounds like nonsense. She is using a term she objects to using. There is no grouping that is 100% anything. All such groupings are merely generalizations.

I still think my contention is true.

Overall, the majority of the group generally referred to as Latino will have favored Biden.

That was never meant to say they are all the same or that 100% of them would do the same thing. It's lots of different people. We make up these generalizations just so we have references to talk about.

It was never a question that Biden would win the Hispanic vote. The question was always by how much. And from everything being reported Trump did much better than expected.

Hello cawacko,

Latinx is a gender neutral term used in place of Latino. It’s a popular term among political progressives.

So you made a comment comparing Latino to Latinx. Aren't Latinos part of Latinx?

So your comment was comparing something to part of the same thing?

Or did you then mean by your use of 'Latino,' only the males?

If so, that was awkward.

Would be clearer if simply saying Latino and Latina.

It’s a non-gender term instead of Latina/Latino and is used by only %3 of Hispanics.

My esposa does not use that term.

To be more specific it’s really used by the woke blue check progressive twitter brigade.

Being "lots of different people" is one reason why the "Hispanic" demographic is clearly artificial. A more realistic/non-racist demographic is by income. More income skews Republican. Oddly, more education, which usually means more income, skews Democrat.

I didn’t make the comment, it was a joke someone made on Twitter I came across.

Thanks.

It reiterates my point that these generalizations are just that. We make up these terms to give us talking points. You are correct to point out that there are many such groupings and lots of overlap between the different terms.

If the Tech companies are forced to start charging customers, a lot of that shit will stop.

As more of these kids grow up in a world with gender neutral pronouns it remains to be seen how throughly it infiltrates our daily rhetoric. It’s not uncommon to see people on their LinkedIn profiles have he/him or she/her (or something like that) next to their name.

That's normal. Remember Brown v. the Board of Education? Loving v. Virginia? Times change. Usually for the better since it grants more freedom. As for LinkedIn, I was never a business guy.

My post was more about uninformed people giving "informed" opinions on Twitter. Misinformation just muddies the waters. Trump is pushing for change in the Tech companies/Social media; the result will be charging for access to the Internet, especially charging for social media like Twitter. Not only will that restrict access to the people who can't afford it, but it establishes a fiduciary contract between company and customer. The part Trump doesn't understand is that it will make it easier for him to be banned from Twitter if he gets his way.
