Very true, but this has always been an outlier. People vote for trump because of his celebrity status. Many know nothing about politics, or the fact that he's bad for their very existence.

Once trump gives up the controls and becomes a conspiracy theory radio host, the nation will get back to near normal. His idiots can listen to him every day, but they won't come out to vote anymore.

Not 'people'. A specific group who are either recent immigrants, or 2nd generation immigrants who are easily swayed by propaganda.

I have very dear friends who came to this country from Ukraine in the seventies. Staunch Republicans, and they cite Socialism as the reason that they won't vote against trump. These people have lived under Socialism/Communism, and they fear that it will come to these shores.

No amount of reassuring will convince them otherwise. They aren't stupid. They're brainwashed.

The 'Iraq Resolution' strongly encouraged Bush to exhaust all diplomatic avenues via the UN security council resolutions.

While the UN demanded that Bush wait to send troops, Bush rushed them into Iraq because 'He didn't want troops in Iraq during the heat of the summer'.

Of course, he guaranteed that we'd be done in a month or two.

All I'm seeing in that form of defense is that 29 Democrat Senators were stupid and gullible. Sorry, but I'm not buying it. They knew exactly what they were doing. People can twist it all they like but the support those 29 Democrats gave Bush was all he needed to attack Iraq.

Those same 29 Democrats passed it without amendment. Translation: They didn't even try to avoid giving Bush carte blanche to start a war killing over 4400 Americans and spending over a trillion dollars.

Uncle Toms bought the "whites are superior" bullshit and threw in with them. They are race traitors which is why calling someone an Uncle Tom is a vile insult.
