Moscow sources close to Mr Putin have claimed the 68-year-old leader has begun developing symptoms of Parkinson’s, which affects the brain and can cause shaking and stiffness. Observers noted that Mr Putin is beginning to show signs of weakness in his hands, struggling to hold pens, as well as constantly twitching his leg. Mr Putin has served more than 20 years as Russian president over two terms, and recently won a referendum on changing the term limits for leaders of the country. It comes as the President is also pushing through legislation granting him additional powers and immunity if he were to resign as leader of Russia.

As far as Russian leaders go, Putin wasn't bad. He was better than a lot of Western leaders at least.
 
Once Putin is out we will see if being a part of the Chinese Empire sticks...I expect that it does.
 
It wold have to be something like Parkinsons - otherwise he's always been in top physical shape and practices judo.

I wouldn't want to live in Russia, but I do have to give the Russian public credit for being one of the only white-majority countries that hasn't bent over for progressive shaming about nationalism.

Few other white majority countries are able to have a culture of pride without feeling some ridiculous sense of guilt.

it's much more complicated. it goes back to James Baker's lie to Gorbachev that NATO would not expand
past East Germany after the fall of the Soviet Union

And US meddling in the Euromaidan, which led to the annexation of Crimea for Sevastapol access - etc.

Basically Russia rejected being a servile vassal of the west, as Clinton/Bush wanted

With the exception on the more enlightened Russians who obviously don't buy into the notorious state run propaganda machine, many of these backwards fools still adore Stalin. And if these folks are so proud of nationalism, why the hell have so many moved to the USA? We have a larger Russkie mafia than Russia does and interestingly enough, Trump has made profits off of these Oligarchs in very questionable real estate deals.

...as opposed to the propaganda of our corporate media? Russia Today is pretty biased, but at least they don't deny they are connected to their government. Our private media corporations are connected to our government, but in the reverse. Our government serves them, rather than them serving the government.

The only real difference is that the average Russian knows the media is trying to manipulate them, whereas Americans think they are being told the full truth. The cynicism of Russians allows them to instead focus on pride in their culture rather than having to cater to every little minority group that whines about one thing or another.

Russians come here for the same reason most others do -- to make money. Making money in America is one of the only advantages to living here, but even that's starting to go away as various states tax and regulate the hell out of the population. The feds often join in as well.

And America isn't exactly the number one choice for immigration anyway. Canada has a higher proportional immigration rate, as does Australia.

Another advantage to America is that we're not as far left socially as so much of the West, but that's also going away thanks to the propagandist approach of our education system.

They love their bling, race cars, and are oh so very hip Americans..
Needless to say they despise Biden the "cold warrior"
 
I have been reading that PUTIN is very careful to cement consensus of the powerful before taking action, this should bode well for Russia as they make this huge transition.
