Why does Trump want to meet w/ Michigan's GOP leaders?

Simple, to try to get them to either introduce legislation in the Michighan Legislature that somehow will allow them to overturn the election and let them pick the State electors, same reason he personally called the two Wisconsin overseers who changed their vote to approve the election, and after talking to Donny, said they wanted to take their approval back. He's got the Nevada GOP doing somewhat similar and it's doubtful Lindsey on his own called the Georgia Secretary of State regarding ballots

Actually amazing the ends Trump is going to discredit the election, then again, he don't give a rat's ass upon its effect on America, as always, it is always about him

It was reported that this was an actual discussion in the WH.

Trump doesn't lose. This is exactly what he is doing now. He is failing in court, but he can win if electors do not vote how they are supposed to.

I think it has been a strategdy all along, especially as it related to Pennsylvania with the earlier case the SCOTUS punted on, but when Biden won five battleground States mobilizing it in Pennsylvania fell off the table.

Trump's goal here isn't to win the election, even he knows that isn't possible, but rather to sow as much doubt regarding the validity of the election as he can thru any means possible so he can continue to raise money, discredit Biden, make it more difficult for Biden to unite the country, and most importantly, to keep himself relevant with his base to aid him in whatever he does afterwards.

The real cowards in all of this debacle is the GOP leaders who sit by quietly either cause they are afraid of Trump repercussions or want to use Trump's lemmings for their own ends down the road, ain't a whole lot of "profiles in courage" coming from the right

After failing repeatedly in court to overturn election results, President Trump is taking the extraordinary step of reaching out directly to Republican state legislators as he tries to subvert the Electoral College process, inviting Michigan lawmakers to meet with him at the White House on Friday.

A source with knowledge of the trip said that Mr. Trump would meet with Michigan’s Senate majority leader, Mike Shirkey, and speaker of the House, Lee Chatfield, late Friday afternoon. Both lawmakers are Republicans who have said that whoever has the most votes in Michigan after the results are certified will get the state’s 16 electoral votes.
