Jill Biden has a PHD

Victim Culture Cult indoctrination, Regressive leftist brain washings.

War has been declared on liberals and liberalism....this is straight up unapologetic illiberalism.

An education you dont find there, it turned out that neither the institutions nor their customers were interested in that.

That only applies to a very small percentage of students who were already liberal and got wrapped up in "social justice" causes. Most college professors never talk about politics and students have no clue about their political views.

The indoctrination charge is mainly spouted by those who have little experience with a college education. It is like blaming the media, Hollywood, corporations, deploreables, the Koch brothers, George Soros, or the wealthy for any problems that exist.

Well, according to Wiki, not the definitive source but reasonable for a quick look up, this is Jill Biden's published stuff:

Student Retention at the Community College: Meeting Students' Needs (University of Delaware, 2006) [Ed.D. dissertation]
Don't Forget, God Bless Our Troops (Simon & Schuster, 2012) [children's, illustrations by Raúl Colón]
Where the Light Enters: Building a Family, Discovering Myself (Flatiron Books, 2019)
Joey: The Story of Joe Biden (Simon & Schuster, 2020) [children's, illustrations by Amy June Bates]

Leaving out her dissertation, she's done two children's books and a self written semi-biographical. That's nothing in terms of PhD works. Bottom line is she's a "Doctor" in title only. She isn't much of a PhD in education, and certainly not particularly well versed in anything. So, she'll be the most degreed First Lady in US history, but nowhere near the sharpest or smartest. Given her resume, I don't expect much from her. Maybe she'll fuck stuff up like Michelle Obama did with her disastrous school lunch program...

MY daughters graduation from University of Washington felt like a political rally.

I call Bull Shit.

And your daughter is now a radicalized socialist?

It is now standard practice that all who are applying to be faculty must submit a written statement of their fidelity to the DIE Religion (Diversity/Inclusion/Equity), dont do it and you dont get hired, dont stick to in in front of students and you dont stick around. There are now lots of highly paid bureaucrats running around campus like KGB officers making sure that the political standards are maintained. No diversity of thought is tolerated.

And yes.

I view it from two different perspectives. Most college campuses are politically liberal and many of the professors/administrators are politically liberal. And there has been a movement on campuses to chill free (and conservative speech). Anecdotal but was listing to a podcast with a couple of Ivy League professors and they gave the example of at either Brown or Princeton a few years back the Chief of Police for NYC was coming to campus to speak about stop & frisk and ultimately wasn't able to talk because students said it was uncomfortable for them etc. etc. You're talking an Ivy League school where the possibility that a number of our future leaders are on campus and they don't have the emotional capacity to listen to the NYPD Chief Police speak? That's crazy to me.

But his premise that you're a bad person if you want to go to a top Universities in this country is quite frankly retarded (pardon my french).

I agree 100% those elements exist and most professors vote Democratic. But the majority of students now attend community colleges where students are older and have established views or more apolitical. Many are local that reflect the political views of the surrounding community. And, most students are not that involved in political activities and do not experience or care about the political correctness so prevalent in some parts of the university.

I used to include material on college political ideology in my classes and have many wild examples
--can't teach Romeo and Juliet because it is heterosexist (and Shakespeare is a dead white guy)
--a fraternity raising money with a kissing booth was violating anti-discrimination policies if it did not allow both males and females
--a professor accused of racism because he used the term "niggardly" in class
--students being required to acknowledge their white privilege as part of the course requirements

I attended a session at a convention that was a joint session of political science and the women's study group. A woman was presenting a paper that showed women were much less likely to win political office than males. A young lady pointed out that the data presented in the paper actually show it is not males most likely to win but incumbents. She was hissed at (I assume because it did not support that women lost due to gender discrimination).

It is the liberal arts that are most extreme in these areas--science, math, engineering, business much less so. Unfortunately, education now has adopted many of these elements with some schools requiring social justice as the main goal of educating students. A guy who favored giving students a spanking was removed from the program as not being suited for teaching.

I am not trying to downplay the prevalence of many of these activities but questioning the impact on students in that studies show the political attitudes of most students do not change that much in college. Studies since the early 1900s show college seniors tend to me more liberal than freshman; not necessary "liberals" but more liberal in their attitudes.

You know how much a fucking PHD costs? She teaches English at a community college! That's like an astrophysicist working at a fucking Jiffylube. Well, whatever it cost($250-300K), we idiots in the private sector either payed for it indirectly or maybe the fucking chinese payed for it. Just another bored rich white lady in need of a hobby. Can she change a tire? Can she design and navigate a yacht? Can she weld titanium? Can she rebuild an outboard motor? I TEACH people to do that shit, and I have a fucking associates degree. But maybe whoopi is right, she probably couldn't do MUCH harm as the surgeon general.

Out of 100 people by the time they are 60 only 5 will be rich. In the greatest land of opportunity since the dawn of mankind and only 5 become independently wealthy. Why?
Conformity
