Tucker reads dissertation of "Doctor" Jill Biden. Calls her "borderline illiterate"

I've been putting the paper (slowly) through an online spelling and grammar checker and Carlson is nuts. For instance the word "socioeconomic" was flagged because she put a hyphen in it, yet I've seen both versions used. Here's an example: "The UN’s Framework for the Immediate Socio-Economic Response to the COVID 19 Crisis..."

Another example is that she used Roman numerals (Paper I, Paper II) and the spell check said it was a misspelling, because the program doesn't recognize that usage.

The spell checker also flagged proper names as mistakes (Dr. Tinto.)

Finally, she wrote a sentence with "as healthcare needs become more critical..." and the program took the words "needs become" out of context and claimed it was archaic usage.

This was only in the first few pages of the paper. I think Carlson is a deceitful know-it-all who understands that his gullible followers will accept his comments unquestioningly because they hate the Bidens, too.
Fox’s Cliff Clavin.

Nice work.

I pretty much knew Tucker Swanson McNear Carlson and JPP Trumpettes were lying their flabby asses off on multiples levels. None of these Deplorables actually read a 120 page, dry technical dissertation. And no literate person would find anything "atrocious" and illiterate about the dissertation. I would rather read James Joyce or Joseph Conrad, but a dissertation is not supposed to be literature or pleasant to read

I have a hard time believing you actually read a 120 page dissertation.

Do you not have better things to do?

I only had to skim a few pages to realize Deplorables are lying their flabby asses off. There is nothing atrocious or illiterate about her writing. It is not Shakespeare, but a technical paper is not supposed to be a work of literature. It reads like thousands of other technical papers I have perused.

Well, I did. Just going through the first few pages. I'll leave off the poor grammatical choices she's made in many sentences and just present some of the really bad 'gems' of poor grammar she uses.

In addressing the question of student retention, a general question with four specific parts will be considered:

What steps can Delaware Tech take to improve student retention?
a. What can be done to address academic needs?
b. What can be done to address psychological needs?
c. What can be done to address social needs?
d. What can be done to address physical needs?

A question about a question? That's how the sentence reads. Her table that follows is also poorly constructed. It should be a series of five questions say, something like this:

What can be done at Delaware Tech to improve or address student needs in:

1. Retention?

2. Academic preparedness?

3. Psychological stability?

4. Social adjustment?

5. Disabled access? (This is apparently what she actually means here from reading further in the paper)

Page 2

At least five seats will be filled with middle-aged men and women...

Both men and women occupy the same seats? It should read men or women...

If you read the whole of page 2, it is a huge run-on paragraph with some really bad math involved.

or this:

Some seats will hold older women whose children have just entered college – now these women are taking the opportunity to earn
college degrees themselves.

This is particularly bad for an academic paper. It draws two conclusions without supporting evidence:

1. That these women's children have entered college. How does she know that?
2. That these women are taking the opportunity (as a result of 1) to get a college degree as well. Again how does she determine this? Couldn't there be a variety of other reasons they are taking a class?

For over a page she lists a who's who in community college classes without a single reference to where she got this information. That's totally unacceptable in an academic paper. If she did a properly constructed survey to get it, then show us. If she got it from references or previous studies, show us. She doesn't. Unacceptable.

The inclusion of the Delaware Tech mission statement in full is a waste of space in the paper (pgs 2 and 3)

She concludes that inclusion with:

Responding to the current social and economic morés of the new millennium, Delaware Tech’s mission has adapted to meet the needs and goals of today’s students.

Other than the spelling error (mores is unaccented), the problem here is she doesn't expand on how Delaware Tech has done this adaptation. She just tosses in one sentence, as a stand-alone paragraph, a mistake in grammar itself, and moves on. Again, not acceptable in an academic paper.

I could easily spend the rest of the day going line-by-line through this travesty of a paper, but I think I've made my point. It is riddled with stuff that isn't up to snuff for PhD work.

Holy smoke, that is the worst supposed mistakes you can find??

You claimed her writing was "atrocious" and Tucker claimed it is incomprehensible.

You just spent hours of your life demonstrating your and Tucker's claims were false, wildly overblown, and completely mischaracterized her dissertation.

No black has an IQ of 150. Tyson is a fraud - not a real physicist. He's a media darling who writes silly "physics for poets" books. He can't do real physics.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson is hardly Black.

He's probably 65% non Sub Saharan African, just like Obama.

Yes, Kenyans are 70% Sub Saharan African ,& 30% West Asian.

Obama's other half was 100% non Sub Saharan White N. West European.

The amazing thing is that this is a thing. Let's put Melania's PORNOGRAPHY and Trump's pee pee parties through a spell check.

Spelling errors are an indication that she actually wrote it. We had to find out from the real author that Trump didn't write a fucking word of his
Art of the Deal.

Melania dresses like a cheap whore and we're trashing Mrs Biden for writing a dissertation?!

No, I just started at the beginning and did the first few pages. I really don't want to spend the time parsing through the whole thing pointing out all of the flaws and mistakes. I'll give a few more examples:

Pages 4 to 7 are rambling drivel. They do nothing to advance the paper's thesis or position. For example, take this lengthy paragraph on page 6:

The unique nature of the classroom allows for a complexity of problems as well.
Almost all community college students work, either full or part-time, while attending
school. In addition, many students, with or without a partner, are raising children or
caring for elderly parents. The responsibilities of attending school, working, and raising
children can sometimes be overwhelming and, most times, stressful. Community college
students, often from lower socio-economic backgrounds, often seek a degree to earn more
money in the workforce. The goals of many of these students are tied to their earning
power; a two-year degree means an hourly wage increase or a promotion in their present
employment. A four-year degree, a distant dream to many, ensures a stable career, higher
social status, and financial security.

It is offered without a single shred of evidence, proof, reference, or anything else. Some of it is nothing but personal opinion like:
In addition, many students, with or without a partner, are raising children or caring for elderly parents.

Where does she get this data from? It's never explained. That's basic to any academic paper. It's the whole basis of an academic paper. You gather facts, evidence, and information then present it, documenting where it came from, then draw conclusions from it.

Then, as I previously have pointed out she drifts off into a history of community colleges on pages 7 to 13 that is totally irrelevant to the paper's thesis. This amounts to nothing but filler. It has no purpose within the paper, draws no conclusions, and isn't used elsewhere in the paper.

On pages 13 and 14 she brings in the topic of "Pre-Tech students." The key two sentences (badly written) that are salient here are:

The percentages have continued to increase. At Delaware Tech, the numbers of students in pre-tech classes substantiate the increasing percentages.

She then provides a table for the fall 2005, spring 2006 semesters to show the pre-tech classes versus college level ones. This does nothing to prove the claim she made in the statement I provided. She'd have had to provide say 5 years of data showing how the pre-tech classes have grown in number each year, or the like, to do that. What she provides is one semester's worth of data. That is, a single data point which as anyone even cursorily versed in statistics knows is meaningless.
She doesn't show that pre-tech classes have "continued to increase."

This is typical of the whole paper. She blithely tosses out some statement or conclusion and then fails completely to offer any sort of corroboration or supporting evidence to back it up. That is academic failure at its most basic level.

I read Jill Biden's dissertation. I wrote better stuff as an undergrad. My senior project in industrial engineering was an analysis and planning for the development and production of silicon carbide whisker reinforcements in ceramics based on one of the companies I worked for at the time (a place called Keramont). The spreadsheets got so complex that it was hard to get them to run on a 286 PC, the common PC computer of that time. Even my MA work was far superior. My Master's thesis was on electronic warfare in World War 2 and it was nearly double the length of hers, had a far more extensive bibliography, and showed more research. I'll admit I already had a whole bookshelf of references, and an extensive background in electronics so it was relatively easy for me to do that, but her PhD work is crap.

The Ed.D dissertation is not expected to be that high quality because it is not a research degree. I have seen worse.

One criticism of it is unjustified in that I have seen several students who failed to study because they had no interest in an education. They were only attending because their parents told them they had to be full-time students to be covered under their health insurance. Some seem to suggest that does not happen.

Tucker Carlson is dragging the bottom on this story. Less was written about Biden and Trump lying about their educational accomplishments than Jill Biden's actual accomplishments. I bet her M.A. thesis was more rigorous than her dissertation.

Ah... So any idiot can get a PhD in Education... I see! Nice to know that our education system is so slack and non-rigorous in it's academics. Explains a lot of why our public schools, in particular, are so lousy at turning out educated graduates...

Not a big Biden supporter here but was the accomplishments of a soft porn/nude model mail order bride more impressive and dignified and more worthy of being the FLOTUS to you than a dedicated educator is? SMFH

Ouch!!!

That's gonna leave a mark.
