These boogieman words have no meaning anymore as you can't even decide of figure out what they are. You just have politicians at the beckoning of corporate interests labeling everything of social progress as those boogieman words and you end up chasing shadows like a dog chases its tail. Now we don't have those things and COVID is destroying lives since people can't fall back on anything like elsewhere. Only first world country where people were losing healthcare during this nightmare.

It wasn't "commies" that took money away from the military budget to build a wall.

However, what you say is probably true about American commies---both of them.
 
Damn rightys are stupid. We have spent more than the next 10 countries combined for several decades. We spend way too much on the military. That comes with doing financial damage to the country. In Ikes farewell speech he gave a lesson in what it could do if we did not fight it. https://www.history.com/news/dwight-eisenhowers-shocking-and-prescient-military-warning I did not like Ike as president until that speech. Then I knew he was telling us of a fundamental problem that we were creating. We ignored him under the serious and enormous damage caused by the power of defense companies since then.
A real patriot would want our financial priorities to be realigned.

Bernie don't mind the word socialist, as he confesses to be the leader of the Democrat Socialist Revolution, clearly stating his cause as a revo-LOOT-ion and calling himself a Socialist Democrat Independent.

I won't argue with him on his own title or his confession!

But, his so claimed revo-LOOT-ion is just not popular with the vocal and voting majority.
