A large majority of Americans are in favor of the Senate convicting Trump

What if the error is applied to the other side asshole?

Your asshole never got to 50% on anything

He NEVER was supported by a majority of the people

I've seen and read about the arrests. Have you bothered to look at any of the details of those? For example how many of those arrested were charged with "insurrection" or "treason" as a crime? How many were charged with serious felonies?

Unlike you, I've been paying attention. Not a single rioter in that incident has been charged with insurrection or treason. So much for it being an "insurrection." Instead, the vast majority have been charged with criminal trespass and some with additional crimes like property damage (aka vandalism), or assault.

It's tards like you that somehow turn arresting rioters into some attempt to overthrow the government that are the insane, ill-informed, and lunatic bunch.

Remember dude with the horned hat and such? He was arrested in Arizona in early December when he and others pushed past security at the Arizona state capitol and did pretty much what he did in DC. You know what happened? Some of the state legislators came out and talked to him and the other protesters, then the cops arrested them without incident charged them with things like criminal trespass and sent them on their way.

It was no big deal, and the Capitol riot wasn't either.

Well, it was a big deal because people died/got killed but it wasn’t an insurrection. It still pisses me off that it happened and that it WAS ALLOWED to happen.

But good points about the non-insurrectionists. Insurrection is a crime. A big one that would land someone in federal prison. But to be the crime of insurrection a charge would have to stand up in court. Otherwise, the word ‘insurrection’ is being used in a colloquial sense. More precisely, in a political sense.

If they charged the Shaman with insurrection [as much as they would like to] there would be a big risk of an over-charge and the loon would walk free. So they charge him with a lesser crime so it will stick. Which is more in line with the law and justice, anyway, because the dude is apparently harmless. It wasn’t like he was going to impale Pelosi with is horns. Dude is a raving lunatic, but a harmless lunatic nonetheless.

But ask one of the lefties why democrats are pissing around in the Senate if Trump *is really* guilty of inciting an insurrection. Indict him, and see if it sticks.
