Senate votes to hear witnesses

Look, we all know on January 6 Trump was glued to the TV and reveling in the shit smearing, vandalism, and intimidation his rabid animals were engaged in. It took him hours to even issue a tepid statement, and that was only after aides begged him

Trump? Oh, he can't be having a good day at all.

He was thinking it was all going to be over today, he could put this all behind him, do his little victory dance, blab about his acquittal, call it a witch hunt, etc, etc, etc.

Now he's looking at an extended trial with witnesses; people who are going to say bad things about him in public, under oath.

Well, that's a horse of a different color!

Somebody is going to be sent out for a bag of comfort big macs...

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of Trump supporters, Qless and ex-military militia members who want to know what Trump said and did in the hours during the insurrection before Trump threw them all under the bus.

Okay, I’m not going to argue with you over this, but the rules state and they agree upon the number of witnesses each side is allowed to call and each side has the right to call the same amount of witnesses in the proceedings. If they agree the number is one witness, each side gets to call one witness.

Total and completely wrong. Republican witnesses will only, ONLY be allowed with a majority of Senate approval.

Yup. Right now the lawyers are all fighting it out backstage. Chuckie just now obtained a recess till 12:30. So, we'll see. Stay tuned.

Boy,...now that sure sounds like the fair and reasonable way to conduct a trial doesnt it? :rolleyes: Holy banana republic show trial batman! The D's are such utter POS that even the biggest idiots in the world should be able to see it by now.

Speaking of POS, my somewhat ignorant friend, lets go back to Trumps first impeachment trial in which republicans controlled the Senate. At that time, the Democrats were not allowed to call witnesses, so it goes both ways. Best not to open your big mouth, when you dont know what you are talking about.
