Guy Willard Blessing was charged Wednesday, Feb. 24, in Aitkin County District Court with gross misdemeanor of furnishing alcohol to a minor, which carries a maximum sentence of one year in jail or a $3,000 fine or both.
The Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office Monday investigated a report of an Aitkin High School teacher having provided a juvenile with alcohol.
The investigation revealed the teacher had befriended a student and had, on multiple occasions, provided that student with alcohol, the sheriff’s office reported.

At a press conference, Wednesday, Feb. 24, West Fargo Police Chief Denis Otterness said during the investigation, which involved investigators from a specialized task force, Thompson solicited a minor online.
Cass County State Attorney Birch Burdick said Wednesday he has filed one count of felony luring a minor by computers or other electronic means against Johnson.
The class B felony charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $20,00 fine, Burdick said.

Karen Kay Marshall, 51, was charged this week in Johnson County District Court with felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Marshall, of Shawnee, was booked into the Johnson County jail Tuesday and was released from custody after posting a $5,000 bond. Her first court appearance is scheduled for July 7.
The charges say Marshall possessed the drug and a pipe on March 24. The case was investigated by Prairie Village police.
Officials with the Bonner Springs/Edwardsville Unified School District said they learned of Marshall’s arrest Thursday, and she resigned the same day. She taught at Bonner Springs Elementary School and was described as a “long-term” district employee.

There have always been some teachers, mostly, male who have sexually abused students at their elementary, middle or high schools. Many other adults who work in schools, like student counsellors (psychologists) or members of admininistration, and so on, also have criminal convictions for the sexual abuse of underage students in their schools.
I would say that most teachers in America are Democrats and probably members of teachers. unions. This is the case in Australia where the vast majority of teachers are employed by their state government and work in State Government Primary Schools and High Schools, almost all of these teachers vote for the Left and are members of teachers unions.
Any young person who does an education major at a college in the US and go on to work as a teacher, would likely have been told, emphatically, his/her wiser peers: "No, No - don't do it . The classrooms are miniature theatres of war. You will find that your students have no respect for you authority as an adult with is a teacher with special knowledge and skills. These are just some of the reasons that the turnover-rate for teachers is so high. The bright-eyed-and-bushy- tailed newbie that starts teaching in an American school/s only lasts about FOUR years on average, before they think "Fuck this for a game of soldiers." Then,"like a Bat outta Hell !" they're gone, BIG TIME. The Department of Education (or whoever is the relevent government education bureaucracy) couldn't really give a rat's ass, because, they'll always be able to obtain a supply of fresh "cannon- fodder". There'll always be an adequate supply of dopes they can entice into taking a college major in education in their state. They might have to drop the SAT score for the course a little more (again - and it's already very low) to let some real dead-heads into the degree course, and ultimately put them up as teachers in the state's school classrooms. Getting back to the abnormal proportion of sex offenders who are teachers that have been apprehended sexually abusing students... One reason for this, of course, is access. If a teacher is a paedolphile or inclined to sexually molest/abuse underage children or adolescents, then working in a school provides plenty of potential targets. Also teachers are placed in a postion of trust where they are are allowed to interact with students unsupervised, thus allowing classroom behaviours associated with sexual grooming, etc, to take place unmonitored.
My theory is that teachers who abuse school children are likely to be older males.
The reason is that teaching in public middle schools ar high schools is such a dreadful job in every reagard : pay, conditions, chronic psychological and physical stress. It makes no sense that a young person in their 20's would remain in the job more than 4 to 5 years (MAX) So teachers who are still working full-time in schools and aged in their 40's or 50' or maybe even 60's (though I don't think there would be many teachers in the US still working full-time in 2021) are suspect. WHY exactly are they working as full-time class room teachers: the pay is shit; the working conditions are diabolical, the constant high levels of stress, frustration, anger, meaninglessless are pathological - are they masochists and morons at the same time ?
