Not a medical-expert, but my understanding is that the jury is still out on whether or not a person who has had COVID is immune from it or isn't a carrier.

Because we need more time to keep testing people for antibodies. Some have them and some lose them. They could study this for years and still now know why some people react differently

We need an effective fighting force which will not inadvertently endanger the American public. They are forced to live in close company. They are likely to have more cases than the general public if not vaccinated.

True. OTOH, he also went outside his chain of command albeit, still military. It as brave of him and, as one of the links proved, he knew it would blow back on him but he did it for best needs of the service as his crew acknowledged upon his departure.

That only works large scale. The military isn't that, and we are nowhere close as a country.

Our medical capacity would be overwhelmed long before that happened, and many more would die.

Bad plan.
