Top Maryland officials are launching an investigation of all deaths in police custody that were overseen by the state’s former chief medical examiner who testified in Derek Chauvin’s defense, the Maryland attorney general and governor’s offices announced Friday.

David Fowler, who was Maryland’s chief medical examiner from 2002 to 2019, served as a key witness for Chauvin, whose high-profile trial ended this week with a jury convicting the former Minneapolis officer of murder and manslaughter in the death of George Floyd.

I think it was because he was incompetent, gave terrible testimony, and made no sense. That made them wonder if he fucked up other cases. With how bad he was, it is likely.
 
In another time we would call this witness intimidation. But were fine with this now.

You know I really hope they convict that policeman who killed knife girl of murder as well. That way all the police will just stay inside and watch all the democrats kill each other in their cities until people realize why they have police in the first place.

What surprises me is that the dim enclave of md is doing this. Maybe they're scared of a retrial and their boy will get skewered ... trying to get ahead of the game

Nothing to do with 'getting involved'. He was forced to admit the truth under cross.

He's now exposed as a liar. He's not the first M.E. to lie for cops, and he won't be the last.

Normally I would agree with you ... but this is different. As I said earlier ... md is a dim enclave and now they are investigating a dim (an exceedingly rare event). Should said "expert witness" be found to be a fraud (which has already been shown) ... md can start proceedings against him. However, imagine the quagmire for the md court system.

It could be argued that the video convicted Chauvin, not the experts. Although, Tobin was pretty damning as he pinpointed the exact moment that Floyd was murdered, as the court watched the video.

This cop cam video makes it pretty clear that this raging fool was about to stab a defenseless victim just before she was shot.

It could be argued that the cop should have shot her once in her big fat ass instead of killing her, but the shooting was justified.

No, I didn’t read the testimony because I didn’t obsess over the Floyd case like a good Lemming.

What was ‘the truth’ the examiner was forced to admit?
