"Washington (CNN)A US Capitol Police officer directed "all outside units" on the morning of January 6 to only monitor for anti-Trump agitators "who want to start a fight," not any "pro-Trump in the crowd," according to the findings of a newly revealed internal investigation.
Rep. Zoe Lofgren described the radio broadcast, the existence of which was not previously known, during a House Administration Committee hearing on security failures around the January 6 attack.
In that transmission, according to Lofgren's telling, the officer said: "Attention all units on the field, we're not looking for any pro-Trump in the crowd. We're only looking for any anti pro-Trump who want to start a fight.""

Good question.

And you are right. Trump supporters obviously posed a very grave threat to the capitol, our government, and elected officials who rightly feared for their lives.

The answer is they weren’t perceived to be a threat. Up until 1/6 Trump rallies didn’t erupt into riots. As distinct from BLM protests which do commonly erupt into violence.

And it turned out to be a one-off. They barricaded the Capitol for months for nothing. They ‘predicted’ state capitals would be stormed and not a single Trump supporter showed up at any of the 50 state capitals. Then on 4/20 something was supposed to happen—and nothing.

Just days ago, the whole country heaved a sigh of relief when Floyd jury convicted Chauvin on all counts. Had the mob not been satisfied cities would still be burning as I type this.

Yes, big bad Trump supporters.
 
The capitol police went after and took out Ashli Babbitt, an Antifa operative/Anti-Trump protester! They did their job! Being sarcastic, but seriously this needs to be investigated and officers that stood by letting terrorist in the capitol and taking selfies with the Trump mob, should be fired too!

The Cop With No Name took out an unarmed Air Force Vet that survived two tours in Iraq—with a kill shot.

Some people applaud this but go apoplectic when armed criminals are shot by cops while resisting arrest.

The maximizing of 1/6 is a little tiresome. It was a riot and not an insurrection.

There are nut jobs on both sides. Not hard to figure out which side has more of them.
