Agreed. Still, since Officer Sicknick's death was ruled 'natural causes', there will be no murder charges.

However, the vicious assault of the Insurrectionists which resulted in hundreds of injuries, several deaths, several maimings of police should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

That said, thanks to Democrats, you can't lock them up and throw away the key for assaulting police. They'll be charged and, if convicted, sentenced under sentencing guidelines. Most will simply plead out and serve their 1-5 year prison terms.

With a felony conviction on the record, it can't make life as easy as for a law abiding citizen.

I wonder if they will ever be allowed on an airliner again.

Most are late 40s to 60s. Some have been fired and that will be hard on them. Many were unemployed due to Trump fucking up the COVID response...meaning they were in manual labor jobs, not tech/office jobs. High School education, manual labor experience and now fired for being a seditionist? That doesn't look good even on a Walmart application.

A felony conviction often disallows owning guns. Texas allows them to be in the home after 5 years.

Not sure about No Fly Lists, but that's a very good possibility they'll be riding Greyhound.

There’s still a lurking suspicion it was a kind of set up. Why was security so lax that day? That’s a great question. It’s not the direction Poli wants to go with it but one explanation is it was a set up.

IOW they *wanted* Trump protestors inside the Capitol on 1/6. They wanted the ‘insurrection’ to happen in order to isolate Trump, impeach him again and then marginalize the MAGA movement.

I’m not saying it happened that way but the fact pattern fits it to a T. And after the past 18 months I put nothing past them.
