April jobs expected to top 1 million as consumers boost the economy

Job growth in April could top 1 million, though many positions also may have gone unfilled.

Economists expect to see job creation in each of the next several months of over 1 million, as more Americans are vaccinated and the economy booms. According to Dow Jones, economists expect 1 million jobs were added in April, and the unemployment rate fell to 5.8% from 6% in March.

We've been trying to keep our local businesses open. The GF and I either order out or (now) go to our local diners and restaurants. I just bought a washer from a local small business last fall. People are buying, My friend manages a large car dealership and he says they can't keep enough cars on the lot. Americans are trying, at least around here.
Our businesses are opening up, not full capacity, but still opening. One bar I know of has closed for good, and others are hurting because they can't find help.
There's jobs everywhere around here. All types. And "technically" 'ole Joe & the hoe do have something to do with it. People are getting lazy. They like collecting unemployment, plus the extra government supplement, and the stimulus checks. Put $600 on top of what I'd draw in unemployment a week, that's 3/4 what I was making when I retired. Hell, I'd sit on my ass for that. I could easily live on it. I'm living on quite a bit less now.

One thing we can do is complain about Biden's covid relief expenditures while not doing the simple things--

getting shots, wearing masks--

that will expedite getting things back to normal.
