Bill Maher has tested positive for coronavirus.

In a tweet from the official "Real Time with Bill Maher" account, it was announced that the 65-year-old comedian has tested positive for the novel virus, resulting in Friday's May 14 taping of his show to be canceled.

"Bill tested positive during weekly staff PCR testing for COVID," read the announcement. "He is fully vaccinated and as a result is asymptomatic and feels fine."

The statement added that the show's production has "taken every precaution following CDC guidelines."
 
Either PCR tests have too many amplification cycles; or the vaccine doesnt work. my money is on too many cycles

Who told you this vaccine, or any vaccine is 100% effective against transmission?

The vaccine will give you close to 100% protection against serious illness and hospitalization.

But there is no 100% guarantee your body cannot acquire the virus.

do you mean infection? ( not transmission - the viral load is too low to transmit any infection)

it's possible -new figures I've seen are about 97% (Pfizer)
My money is on too many amplification cycles ( cycle threshold) just picking up genetic fragments -
but yes its' possible there might be a small amount of live virus

well since it's not possible to transmit, and the CDC has now said "no more masks" either indoors or out if vaxxed-
it's time to just ignore a +COVID test if you are vaccinated

So these people who are vaccinated and get covid can infect others can't they?
 
5 in 100 will follow suit according to the testing data for both MRNA vaccines. Much more for the J&J.

That Trumpanzees can locate some of them is quite unsurprising.

I'm reading that they are still trying to determine how well it prevents people from transmitting it to others.

Once someone gets vaccinated they may get reinfected but the supposed impact is low isn't that correct?
