Why do Americans have to care about Israel?

First, because we pay for their wars against Palestinians.

Second, the US blocks condemnation of Israeli violence in the UN.

Third, US prostrates itself before the Jewish Lobby.

What's wrong with a two state solution. Complete sovereignty for Palestinians in their new state, no more settlement
in west bank and gaza. US should disarm both nations and administer all of it, governments of all UN signatories pay us to do that.

I'm an American.
A Blue American to be exact.
I don't give a fat fuck about Israelis or Palestinians, neither of whom are very likeable.
I didn't say Jews or Muslims. The ones with whom I associate are normal functioning people.
I said Israelis and Palestinians.

We've got mutant trumpnzees running around freely on our streets with MAGA caps and no masks.
That cleanup is a much more immediate problem.
Bleach won't work. They've already tried it on themselves, the fucking mutants.

We've got a lot to talk about.
Where do we start?
We thought maybe we could
talk about, for example, the world.
Just for starters.
I just can't get a
handle on the middle east.
It's a swamp.
A real mess.
Don't you think so?
Yeah, it's a swamp.
You think, honey?
Th... that it's a swamp?
Hey, absolutely.
I thought so.
It's probably too complex
to talk about over dinner.
You know, there's
always the nuclear question.
Since Taft's the
safest city in America...
I think that whole
area is another swamp, too.
But a very complex one,
a swamp with many levels
of political overtones
that can't be fathomed
at the present time,
but needs the distance of the future
to give it a perspective
so you can truly
have a point of view
and realize viscosity
of that quagmire.
And the only way to understand this
is to realize it's incomprehensible

Politicians are most concerned with the third comment in your list.

Our former need for an army near 'our' oil in the Mid East is no longer a need. Mid East oil touched every foreign policy we crafted in the region. We don't care about individual people. We care about proximity to oil. That's why we were attacked on 9/11. We tainted the holiest lands in the region with military bases.

Bush the moron destabilized the Mid East forever. There was a delicate balance before he allowed Cheney to wage his blood for oil campaign.

Now our worst nightmare has come to fruition. A destabilized region that affects the free flow of oil through the Gulf.

It's time we wean ourselves off of all petroleum products.

Exactly. Bush allowed bin Laden family to fly out of the US immediately after the bombing of Trade Towers.

Yeah. What's a couple of buildings and a few people when it comes to mega-bucks.
(the average person might have suspected the bin Laden Family might have known where he was?)

Cultural, social, political, and historic ties between the two nations, plus fact America relies upon Israeli intelligence of the region
