Funny, that wasn’t Mitch’s complaint, rather ”McConnell questioned whether the panel’s work would interfere with the hundreds of criminal cases stemming from the Jan. 6 attack,” and that’s a new one

Bottom line the GOP doesn’t want to piss of Trump, and it was Mitch who after voting not guilty delivered the scathing speech on the Senate floor saying Trump will be held accountable, so much for honesty

Maybe we should also tie it to Russian interference in the Election. Don't you agree that is more in line with an attempt to interfere in an election? If not, why not?

In reality, the purpose of the commission is to investigate the events of Jan 6th and what led up to it. If you have evidence that a riot in Detroit was part of the cause for Jan 6 then by all means contact the commission and give them your evidence.

The funny thing about the US Capitol building is it's only located in Washington DC. It can't be attacked by rioters in any other US City. So when a commission is investigating the attack on the US Capitol it really should only be concerned with the city where the US Capitol is located. It's this little thing called reality. You should try living in it some time.
