You do realise that lithium is extremely inflammable, don't you? So much so that it bursts into flames on contact with air. Please don't tell me about chemistry I have a degree in the subject.

As for Tesla, the jig is up for them the luxury car makers like Mercedes, BMW, Daimler etc have caught up with them technically and now can offer far more luxurious interiors and finish. Tesla cannot hope to compete on that basis, yet another example of the early leader falling by the wayside when the big boys catch up.

Not to mention that other larger car manufacturers can more readily subsidize their loses in electric car sales with the profits they make from selling gasoline and diesel vehicles.

Don't pretend like you have any sort of degree you're just not smart enough

Biden Administration Advances Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure

Department of Transportation, Department of Energy, and General Services Administration Announce New Actions to Accelerate Deployment of Electric Vehicles and Chargers
Looks like a cut/paste from some website... I guess I'll respond to the website instead of you...

Today, the White House announced new progress on the Administration’s goal to accelerate and deploy electric vehicles and charging stations, create good-paying, union jobs, and enable a clean transportation future. This includes actions by federal agencies:
The White House Occupant knows that this would cause a lot more demand for electricity, right? He also knows that removing "fossil fuels" would cause a sizable decrease in energy production capabilities, right? How many wind farms and solar arrays would it take to even simply replace all of the "fossil fuel" plants that he wishes to shut down?

The Department of Transportation announced guidance on how grants can be used to deploy charging infrastructure and newly designated alternative fuel corridors;
The Department of Energy announced new funding and partnerships for charger-related research and development; and
The General Services Administration announced progress on the goal to transition the federal fleet to zero-emission vehicles.
In March, the United States passed the milestone of 100,000 public chargers (as recorded by the Department of Energy’s Alternative Fuel Data Center) and these new actions will accelerate deployment to make driving an electric vehicle convenient in every part of the country.
Wind and solar alone is supposed to fuel all of this?

To discuss today’s announcements, National Climate Advisor Gina McCarthy and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg visited new, fast-charging facility near Union Station in Washington, DC. The charging stations were installed by an American-based company EVGo and enable EV users to recharge rapidly when away from home.
Even "rapidly" is not fast enough for some people's needs... gasoline tanks only take about two minutes to fill up.

Most electric vehicle drivers will charge at home and work. One of the perks of driving an electric vehicle is never needing to go to the gas station.
The charging infrastructure is, in essence, a "gas station". Electric cars need to be "fueled" all the same as gasoline cars do.

But public charging infrastructure will provide a key role for people without off-street parking and for longer trips. A robust, convenient, and affordable network of public chargers will increase confidence for drivers that they will always have a charging option when they need it.

What if "the grid" goes out for an extended period of time (by an EMP strike or otherwise)?

We are overdue for a Carrington event, EVs would be especially vulnerable.

DIESEL POWERED??

I bought some more Tesla this morning. It's already up 20 points. I love this stock. Elon Musk is a genius. He's the next Steve Jobs, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates.
In 10 years, everybody's going to look back and wonder why they didn't buy Tesla stock. It's already projected by one analyst to hit 1,000 by EOY.

New York (Fox Business)Tesla shares have slumped in recent weeks, losing 26% of their value between a record high in late January and its closing price Friday. But at least one analyst sees better times ahead — much, much better.

Ark Invest, run by the influential Cathie Wood, expects Tesla shares to reach at least $3,000 by 2025. That's a rise of more than 350% from Friday's close — and more than double Ark's own $1,400 price target it set last year.
In fact, even in the worst-case "bear" scenario, Ark thinks Tesla shares have an absolute bottom of $1,500 for 2025, analyst Tasha Keeney wrote in a note Friday.

INVEST IN DEISEL FUEL. ELECTRIC CHARGING STATIONS WILL CERTAINLY BOOST IT...
