Simply put there was a time when the system was against blacks. Laws supporting slavery and then Jim crow laws. The system worked actively against blacks to keep them down. The govt or system is suppose to protect people not oppress them but by passing laws that impede their betterment. Slavery and Jim crow laws were active measures by the system to oppress people. That's no longer the case. Thats not the same as saying racism has been eliminated but individual racism may never be completely eradicated but that's not the govt or the systems job.

You can’t expect impressionable kids to grasp nuance. They’re not going to get that. They’re going to think ‘well, maybe if I engage in thuggery I can still become an icon like George Floyd’. Floyd was a bad person who ran into a bad cop. End of story. There isn’t some kind of moral lesson there.

This crap does a disservice to young black people. The left needs to start calling some of this perverse nonsense out because us righties will just be dismissed as bigots for doing it.

The government at all levels still passes laws racist laws, requiring schools to accept those not qualified because of their skin color, requiring people to hire and promote not based on ability but on skin color, getting medical care (such as covid shots) based on skin color, the ability to vote based on skin color and ID laws, and on...and on...and on. All of these laws are passed by Democrats.

It obviously has not. The Democrats are just as racist as ever. Instead of just the KKK (still active) which they created, they also fund and support Antifa and BLM, both racist violent factions.

Agreed, yet the government sees it differently, because much of the government is controlled by Democrats.

I never said such a thing. I simply asked him if the children would know if he was a thug, and if so, how? By parents? The Internet? BLM? Other children? What?
