About tech stocks...

The military budget is $721.5 billion. About half of that goes to salaries and other personnel expenses, with the other half going to defense contractors and infrastructure.

Default means that one cannot pay to service one's debts. The USA is easily servicing its debts.
It's pentagon accounting fraud. GWB removed the cost of war from the budget. We have military bases all over the world that are not in the budget. Veterans benefits and intelligence agencies are not part of discretionary spending. There are countless hidden cost we'll never know about. Remember the $800 toilet seats?

How much does it cost to build and maintain 283 F-35s and 44 aircraft carriers that are riddled with problems, plus nuclear weapons upkeep? I bet half of the US budget goes to the pentagon, and that's why we have so much debt.

I fail to see how they can be at their highest ever when none of those companies are even bringing any products to market.

How can the stock be soaring when they have no product to market at all?

There is NO inventory. Zero! No products whatsoever!

I think China might be trying to take over Taiwan may be the reason.

I just can't wrap my head around how companies with nothing to sell can have their stock keep rising.

I tell you this: It's unsustainable.

Thanks for telling us everything you know about tech stocks in 1/2 a minute!

Are you Smith or Barney?

That was not the Pentagon, that was Bush and the Republicans. The war was put under a supplemental budget, so was considered part of the budget. Nothing was completely hidden, but it was delayed by a few months. Obama put an end to that, so things are better.

If taxpayers are paying for it, it is part of the budget.

Veteran benefits are part of the Veterans Administration budget. Intelligence agencies are part of the intelligence agency budget. Roads are part of the roads budget. No fraud there.

About 60% goes to Social Security and Medicare. That old people are the big expense. How old are you?

The US has been throwing taxpayer money at tech for 80 years, yet China is still kicking our ass. I recommend everyone start a vegetable garden this year before things get ugly.

That's because it doesn't cost them anything to steal our tech.

The trade agreement is that China would provide an endless amount of cheap labor in exchange for western technology. Get your vegetable garden started because the supply chain is broken and the US is the big loser.

Q. Why is it impossible to do a proper audit on the pentagon?
A. They don't want us to see all the theft, waste, and black ops going on at the war department.

All the money spent by the Pentagon is well understood. The contracts the Pentagon signs are not well understood.

The pentagon is a bottomless money pit just as Eisenhower warned about in 1961. The war department is directly responsible for our failed economy. Corporate media is constantly selling us the next war. How many military bases around the world should taxpayers have to sustain?

We get a lot of those bases for free. The taxpayers pay nothing for the bases, and only pay for the activities on those bases. The trick is to minimize the activity, thereby minimizing the expense to the taxpayers.

Do you even know what a profit/loss statement is?

Do you know what FAANG is?

Activity on those bases is being taken over by private contractors (mercenaries) like blackwater. It allows for plausible deniability when we get caught brutalizing and murdering Brown people. As of today we have gas, computer chip, and beef shortages. How did we get here?

Those bases are in nice, friendly countries, like Germany, Japan, and South Korea. There are no need for mercenaries there.
