UFO report is out

The difference is the government is saying they exist and do not know what they are. They are admitting they exist after decades of lies about them. So what does it mean about the future?

My two cents: we should spend money to study it only if there is reason to believe there is either a national security risk, or if it presents credible issues of scientific interest.

UFO report: No evidence of alien spacecraft, but can't rule it out

A highly anticipated government report sheds little light on the mystery, finding no evidence of extraterrestrial activity but not ruling it out either, according to two U.S. officials.

The report also does not rule out the possibility that the flying objects seen by U.S. military planes are highly advanced aircraft developed by other nations, the officials said. Further deepening the mystery, the report says the objects also do not appear to be evidence of secret U.S. technology but it doesn’t definitively rule that out either.

I'm sticking with the theory they're are human tech versus space alien tech.

If it's human in origin, there will be no money for further study. Jus' sayin'. LOL

Right, but I am not ruling out the possibility that some unknown natural phenomena present themselves to us as "UFOs".

Ball lighting used to freak people out.

In the grand scheme of things, it was not that long ago when sailors thought they were seeing monsters and mermaids in the oceans, when what they were actually seeing where more mundane natural phenomena.

Unknown phenomenon is always possible, but human tech has reached a point where we can see the center of our galaxy and identify planets 13,000 light years away. Surely human tech can tell the difference between swamp gas and a flying machine regardless of origin.

Agreed that, what was once thought magical was proved to be natural.

Astronomers have discovered one of the most distant planets known, a gas giant about 13,000 light-years from Earth, called OGLE-2014-BLG-0124L. The planet was discovered using a technique called microlensing, and the help of NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope and the Optical Gravitational Lensing Experiment, or OGLE. In this artist's illustration, planets discovered with microlensing are shown in yellow. The farthest lies in the center of our galaxy, 25,000 light-years away.

It has obvious technological reasons to keep tabs on them. It is also about defending our skies. The mistake would be to ignore them. But as we see, that have never done that. They have been doing it in secret and sometimes in public. But they never stopped.

I oppose conservatives grifting off the taxpayers.

Unless you have a highly qualified background in science, aeronautics, aviation technology, these kind of studies need to be conducted by trained and reputable civil servants and government scientists.

Never expected much of anything from this because I know they aren’t going to tell the public anything, no matter what. They can’t deny the existence of the videos, so they felt they had to say nothing disguised as something.

well I guess they didnt see any Little Green Men,,lol
The videos and eyewitness testimony are overwhelming evidence

Oxygen deprivation at 50,000 feet seems to result in military aviators seeing UFOs.

Not a tough thing to figure out.

There is video and eyewitness testimony of Nessie and Sasquatch too.

A grainy video of an unidentified object in the atmosphere does not constitute proof of interstellar spaceships.

I wish it did, because I want us to discover alien life.

But I cannot kid myself into thinking this is proof of starships piloted by aliens.

no the video is not determintive agree, but when taken with the eyewitness testimony of pilots and so forth....
