Angry protesters lit fires, looted stores and taunted cops in Minneapolis Thursday after officers shot and killed a man — who was a fugitive who whipped out a handgun when authorities closed in on him.

Members of a US Marshals task force were attempting to arrest the felon around 2 p.m. on a state warrant for being a criminal in possession of a firearm, authorities said.

“During the incident, the subject, who was in a parked car, failed to comply and produced a handgun resulting in task force members firing upon the subject,”

The monumental stupidity of these people is astounding..The poverty that is coming on these communities will be richly deserved.

That's Chicago's official solution now. Police are no longer allowed to chase fleeing criminals on foot. They are supposed to just let them flee and catch them later, if at all...

In the end everyone gets what they deserve. This is exactly what Minneapolis deserves. Let it burn. Many businesses are already leaving that Mini shithole in droves. And why wouldnt they? Who wants to live like that or have a business in a place like that? Nobody.
 
I wonder if THE ANGEL WITH A GUN ole Georgie Boy was leading the charge? Maybe stealing himself a new curved tv,...robbing a pregnant woman or two and lighting a Target store on fire?
 
This is why violent rioters and looters can be shot. You've managed to create an environment where it is okay to riot every time an armed felon is shot by police. Clearly not something that is sustainable.

it may not be sustainable but it's happening..what may not be sustainable is getting cops on the job
why would ANYONE want to be a cop now?? and just wait if the feds remove "qualified immunity"

Yeah, it's one thing to police an upper middle-class suburb, where most of the crime is DUI, DV, and shoplifting. Quite another to be in an active warzone with limited manpower, and zero support from leadership and the community.
