Katherine Hennenlotter, 41, a Wake County high school teacher has been arrested on multiple charges, including child abuse and driving while impaired.

Details about the charges weren't immediately available.

According to her website, Hennenlotter is a 12th-grade English teacher, has been instructing in Wake County for 18 years and has been at Panther Creek High since 2017.

A teacher at a high school in Monroe was arrested after he was accused of taking indecent liberties with a student.

The investigation began on May 25, when the Monroe Police Department got information about a teacher at Central Academy of Technology and Arts (CATA) engaging in inappropriate behavior with a student.

After their investigation, 35-year-old Cory McDowell was arrested and charged with indecent liberties by a teacher with a student. Officials say McDowell is an English teacher.

Officials have not said where or when the alleged incidents occurred.

Highland Heights police have reportedly arrested and charged a Mayfield Middle School teacher after he allegedly solicited inappropriate images and messages from girls.

Carlson is awaiting arraignment and a bond hearing, the police reported, and he is currently being held at the police department building. He is officially charged with pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, police said.

A teacher at a Riverside public elementary school was arrested last week on suspicion of sexually assaulting one of his fifth grade students, authorities said.

Mukesh Kisun, a 56-year-old man from Moreno Valley, was arrested Thursday and booked into a Riverside jail on suspicion of committing lewd acts upon a child under the age of 14.

Investigators believe there could be other victims who have not yet come forward.

The arrest came after a teenager told a family member she was sexually assaulted by Kisun.

Kisun has been released on $50,000 bail.

According to court documents, 51-year-old William Boone was arrested for allegedly dating a student.

Back in May, an Ector County ISD Police officer met with DPS Special Agents to discuss the ongoing investigation.

The school officers told the special agents that during a search of Boone's home they had observed images of the female victim.

The images met he definition of child pornography.

Boone now faces a charge of possession or promotion of child pornography, a third-degree felony.

A South Pointe High School teacher was arrested after allegations of touching a female student’s upper leg arose.

According to an affidavit, Edward Cook Jr. put his hands on a student’s upper leg multiple times on April 21, despite being told to stop.

The action was seen by other students and caught on camera, according to the document.

Representatives with Rock Hill Schools say Cook was placed on administrative leave after learning about the incident the next day.

The school system then turned the investigation over to Rock Hill Police Department, who launched a weeks-long investigation.

Police have now issued a warrant for assault and battery third degree for Cook.

Police said a Highland Park High School substitute teacher and registered sex offender was arrested last week and charged with three counts stemming from the discovery of child pornography at his home.

Steven Habay, 47, was arrested again Tuesday on similar charges — one count of reproducing or distributing child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography — following an initial examination of electronic materials seized from the Lancelot Avenue home he shares with his parents, according to Highland Park police.

Deputy Chief William Bonaguidi said officers got a warrant to search the Habays' house last month after getting a tip as part of a separate investigation that began earlier this year.
