And now we have Tuesday’s mass shooting,

No right’s are absolute, fact

Even arch conservative Scalia admits that with respect to guns

“Nothing in our opinion should be taken to cast doubt on longstanding prohibitions on the possession of firearms by felons and the mentally ill, or laws forbidding the carrying of firearms in sensitive places such as schools and government buildings, or laws imposing conditions and qualifications on the commercial sale of arms.” “like most rights, the right secured by the Second Amendment is not unlimited” “not a right to keep and carry any weapon whatsoever in any manner whatsoever and for whatever purpose.” -Scalia in Heller delivering the Opinion of the Court

then why required them in the first place? the only obvious purpose would be for revenue given to the state, am I right?

It's primarily to generate revenue and to try and establish that a person has a minimal level of skill to operate the vehicle. It does little to guarantee safety

Rights don't come from a piece of paper, dumbass. You simply don't recognize the Constitution of the United States nor any State constitution.

Oh, I see, they are part of the natural world, inherent, so if some dimwit wants to murder hundreds from high up in a hotel room he has the right to do so, it is his “freedom”

What's the purpose of these posts?

Capping each other's asses is what we do in America.
People like to do what they're good at,
and most Americans aren't exactly splitting atoms.
Especially Middle Americans, but idiots abound everywhere.
So they perpetrate mass shootings instead, something they can do with reasonable efficacy.

How the fuck are these incidents even news anymore?

The United States enjoys one of the lowest murder rates in the world. Source: WorldAtlas
There are currently some 443 million guns in the United States. Only one of them was used in the Alabama shooting. Only two of them were used in the Austin shooting.

That is not true proven by the mere fact that any right mentioned in the Constitution has been regulated at one time or another dating back to Colonial days and still is today

And all the “freedom” rhetoric is pure bullshit, amazing how those on the right so quickly turn an abstract concept as “freedom” into a bumper sticker cliche

so you're unable to provide any actual reference that the founding fathers agreed that rights were not absolute................

what actual reference DO you have that says rights can be regulated?

Scalia was a pro big government control tyrant. you should stop using him as an example for anything other than statism

It is not his freedom. It is murder. 59 dead is not 'hundreds'. Most of those died from stampede, not by getting shot.

I wonder why there has never been a mass shooting at a police station or an NRA convention?

Wait a minute, you want direct quotes from someone saying exactly rights are not absolute? For real? Ever read John Locke?

Show us a direct quote from a Founding Father saying guns in America can not be regulated, and don’t say “not infringed,” that is totally reliant upon the predatory clause which no one has been able to interrupt, we want to see “can not be regulated”

Irrelevant. The Constitution of the United States is the ONLY authoritative reference of the Constitution of the United States. Congress does not have authority to change the Constitution. Neither does the President. Neither does the Supreme court.

Freedom is not a cliche.
