And now we have Tuesday’s mass shooting,

If I can't drive my car on someone else's property without their permission that's a restriction on my right.
Not at all. You can still own and drive a car.
It's not absolute.
Nonsensical.
This a simple concept.
Nonsensical.
You can't yell "Fire" in a crowded movie theater.
Yes you can. It's perfectly legal.
Simple concept.
And a wrong one.

Yes car. the govt can as you do not own the roads. You pay to maintain them but they are not yours.

You pay to maintain a small part of them. No one pays entirely for their own road, unless they themselves build it.
You do own the roads as a public way. You have the right to use a public way.

Where does it say you have a right to a car? It doesn't. You only have a right to what you can legally purchase. I've been over this shit with you already

The constitution does not give the government authority to pass any law preventing you from buying a car.
Constitutions do not give rights. Rights do not come from a piece of paper.

and you've been wrong all along. You have the RIGHT to acquire property. A vehicle, of any sort, is property. Of course you have to purchase property. ANYONE can purchase a vehicle, with or without a license. Ask me how I know that.

Also, you need to understand what a Constitution does, and it's NOT to give you your rights.

Bingo.

So for example, because society at large has deemed fully automatic weapons more dangerous than semi automatic, the government gets away with putting significantly more restrictions on their sale? But you don't think this should be the case, but you go along with it anyway because of society?

What the government is doing is unconstitutional.

He is a libertarian who realizes all rights have limits
Still don't get that concept, do you?
and that limited govt is necessary because people are idiots.
No, because some people are thieves and murderers.
He is a capitalist who thinks you should be able to buy whatever you like but knows if capitalisim is unchecked its very bad for consumers.
Capitalism needs no 'checks'. You can't justify socialism that way.
Heknows ther eis a need for balance
Your 'balance' is socialism. No thanks.
Lets try something simpler... do you pay for rights?
You still don't get the concept of a 'right' or of 'freedom'.

Tell me why your kind of special fool keeps dwelling in the negative? There is no indication that confiscation will ever occur, yet you low IQ types keep feeding the paranoia that it is ineviitable while ignoring reality.

But tell me, would you agree to more regulations if a party close to you is killed by your neighbor, or a close friend, in a church, or at a concert? That is more likely to happen then gun confiscation.

Tell me what further restricting my 2nd. Amendment rights will do to stop criminal use of firearms? What do you suggest?

No, I would not agree to more regulations. None of the 20,000 laws already on the books didn't stop it. How will one more?

If you truly loved your child you would be on our knees begging for more rules especially if you have other children. Having said that, enhanced background checks have nothing to do with your alleged "second amendment" rights. But tell us, just where does the Second say you have the "right" to own any gun you choose? It only says you have the right to be armed.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
