your family will ALWAYS be in potential danger. the ONLY thing you can do is provide personal protection. You don't get to force others to either go without or deny them their rights so your family can be safe.

PG&E argument is irrelevant because they knowingly violated regulations and covered it up

I do not care what you do in your home. What I want to know if my family is in danger if you are planning on doing something stupid. I don't care if you build a volatile bomb or a rocket in your garage. Just let me know so we can move away and you can blow yourself and your family to kingdom come.

you do not have that right to know..........I can provide it as a courtesy, but you have no such right to know.

FWIW, I think the Patriot Act is completely retarded. Yes the government is responsible for ferreting out the terrorists, but to have that overreach? Nope.
