That's a big lie. Their are Democrats families in the South that have been Democrats since the Civil war. Democrats want to run from their history but they still are racists.

And now the Republican Party has assumed all those positions as the Southern Conservatives left the Democratic Party over Civil Rights.

More Democrats voted for the CRA than Republicans, and not a single Southern Republican voted for it.

Not one.

The closest were two Senators from Kentucky, which isn't exactly a Southern state.

Texas had both a Republican and Democratic Senator in 1964. Guess which one voted for the CRA and which one didn't.
