The explanation is right there in the Fox News article if you would go past their headline.
Don't see an explanation. It's OK though. I've learned that progs' and normal folks' brains are just wired differently.

Agreed on the problem, but part of the problem, and solution, is funding. Only 8% of school funding is Federal. The rest is local; some state, some city, some county. The poorest sections of the country need help.
While the problems at home remain, just throwing up our hands and saying it's useless isn't working either. Part of this goes to national security; citizens should meet a minimum level of health and education for the best defense of the nation.

Bullshit. The U.S. flag represents in particular African American of color soldiers who proudly fought in all wars of the U.S., going back to the Independence War, and in particular, including the Civil War. Such a statement is a disgrace to war efforts of Americans of color veterans who's legacy matters.
