First victim of political prosecution of 1/6 receives sentence

LOL. You're funny. :)

There are plenty of first aid kits everywhere at the Congress that are easily accessed. No need to carry one.

You know very well that the guy expected violence and injuries, which DID happen.
i have a first aid kit -doesnt mean I expect violence -means Im prepared for anything.
if he had a weapon then ya -off with his head

I don't bring a first aid kit everywhere.

Besides, there are plenty of first aid kits everywhere at the Congress that are easily accessed.

give him time served, or maybe a year, and the rest suspended.
This was a non-violent charge. 19 months is insane

How long do you think he spent in jail after he was first arrested before he posted bail?

18 months on a crime that has a maximum penalty of 20 years seems pretty low since he was charged with 5 crimes.

Attacking the Capitol was a violent act against the peaceful transition of power.
And you were behind it 100% because you thought it would succeed.
the DEFENDANT was not violent, and NOT charged with a conspiracy - you have to sentence him ONLY on his crimes
"Obstructing a proceeding"

At least he might make it out of solitary. I thought we were supposed to be different than countries ruled by despots?

I thought Greenwald was better than this.

His crime wasn't "entering" the Capitol wearing a Trump t-shirt. It was assisting in breaking and entering the locked Capitol and then unlawfully entering the Senate chamber itself as a member of a mob that drove the Senate from its closed session.

He's lucky he wasn't shot and he'll be lucky if he gets a mere 18 months.

why? isnt that what he did according to the charge?
disrupted a proceding?

Did you see some cops letting them in?

i didnt see where they wanted any time suspended

Good.

Like you, he belongs in prison for attacking our democracy.

You're even worse than him because you actively spread the conspiracy theory and Russian Active Measures on JPP, instigating the unrest and attack that you then celebrated that same day, when you thought it was going to succeed.

You're the worst.

What was he prepared for, though?

He was prepared for the coup to succeed, wasn't he?

What would have happened if he was successful?
